It’s definitely getting to be boots weather around here and I do love me some boots! Â I decided that I needed a pair of tall brown boots, since I didn’t have any, so I’m sharing those today. Â Brown and black are pretty much staples during the winter months for boots, so now I’m covered with both.
I’ve also been looking for a denim shirtdress, so hunted one down and bought it. This one is by Vince Camuto and I love how long it is. I can wear it with or without a belt.

These leggings I found last year in New Orleans and they are by Hue. I can’t find them again online, so I think they may be discontinued, but here’s a similar pair (affiliate link), but they are way expensive.
I didn’t have my brown boots before I wore this outfit, but next time I’ll wear it with brown. Â I love denim chambray, it’s soft and cozy and comfortable to wear.
Jewelry is casual and I think I’ve shared all of this before.
Sharing my jewelry: The 80’s necklace that I’ve loved for a long time, Jord wood watch (affiliate link), and cuff bracelet from Lucy’s Lockets. The earrings I have on are a leopard pattern.
Speaking of leopard, I added this faux fur vest to the outfit and like it as well.
Here’s a cute one from Target:

Great way to layer if it’s chilly outside.
These boots are Ralph Lauren  Mila and I got them last year at DSW Shoes.  Here’s a leather and suede version:

A fun and casual look for Fall/Winter.
Another outing recently, I’m wearing the long fringe sweater I shared earlier, Hinge brand in brown (affiliate link). It’s a cozy soft sweater and I can wear it with many things.
Leggings are by Hue in winter white.
This striped orange top I found at Anthropologie on the sale rack and it’s sleeveless and a turtleneck, but lightweight fabric. I can wear this in Spring or Fall. Â The scarf I already had and I think I picked it up at TJ Maxx last year. Â I love to shop the sale rack at Anthropologie. Â Their clothes are a little pricey, but on sale a great deal and the quality is very nice. I’ve bought a few things from there over the years and never been disappointed.

The new brown riding boots I ended up with are Franco Sarto. Since I have thin legs, I was looking for narrow calf ones and these fit the bill. Â The leather is beautiful and the back has a suede like fabric that is stretchy. They aren’t super cheap, but I will keep them for years and they’re leather.

So, that’s a look a what I’ve been wearing recently. Â I’ve got a few more new things to share too so will do that soon!

I love both outfits! Very pretty. Fierce best, BTW. Meow!
You look amazing! Pinning these outfits. 🙂
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the brown sweater with the fringe at the bottom!!!!!!
the entire outfit sings! Your new boots are worth it. My Aigner pair are at least 15yrs old and still look great. I weatherproof and polish them every year which helps tons.
I just love how you’re wearing your hair with the soft waves-it is so youthful and pretty. I’m 49 and how you dress-following trends but doing it in a classic way-is so inspirational to me.
First of all, in the second outfit pic – your hair looks great! Very flattering. You should wear it like that all the time. The shirtdress is cute, but too many accessories. I’m sure it will look much better with the brown boots. I like the furry vest with it.
Starting to see boots around here but we are 70ish today, so still not really sweater and boot season. If you look at the Nordstorm pic that shows your sweater, that is the look I keep seeing online and magazines and a few out and about. I think that is going to be the really popular look for boots. The bootie and straight or skinny, shorter length or rolled/cuffed pant.
I totally agree…too many accessories. I believe I read years ago that Coco Channel said, ” Before leaving the house, look in the mirror and remove one accessory. ” I realize it’s a personal preference, so I’m not trying to be mean, but I do think “less is more”.
I have to agree with Renee, too many accessories with the shirt dress. The necklaces and the belt are fighting with each other! It does look great with the vest, though!
Love, love, your second outfit!! Your hair looks great curly!
I LOVE your hair full and wavy – so sassy!
I sometimes find Hue tights at TJMAXX. PB
Love wearing my boots! I really like that chambray shirt dress and can see all sorts of possibilites for wearing it. It looks reall great with your adorable vest and the sweater too. The jewelry pairs so well with all. So smart looking!
I love the coral colors you are wearing in the last photo, they really complement your hair color. Your hair style in that photo is soft and youthful looking . Could you please share what you did to style your hair that way? Thank you for sharing all your fashionable and age appropriate dressing/hair tips!
THanks, Belinda, I have naturally curly/wavy hair, so it’s not hard to style it this way for me. I talk about styling my hair in this post, using hair serum and curling cream or spray. It’s basically drying on low and scrunching it as I dry to set the curl and wave in place. If you don’t have naturally curly hair, it would be harder to achieve.

Both looks are very pretty but I espcially like the fringe sweater with the pink Anthroplogie top and the infinity scarf. You look great in those colors!
Love those looks! The second with brown boots & colors that are so you with fringe sweater is beautiful. You being tall can layer to no end and looks amazing! I couldn’t do that at all being petite but look watching you get the look together!
Thank you, Bonnie! Being tall has its advantages for sure.
Love Wednesday! I just ordered the chambray dress, it’s on sale too! Yay!! My feet are so wide I have just about given up on boots. The shafts are huge if they fit my feet. My husband and I just went to southern Italy and they have stocking/legging stores everywhere. I bought 3 pr of hose with a gray and black houndstooth pattern. I wish I bought more and a variety but I thought I could get them when I got home. Not seeing them? I like things kinda plain and a black dress with black hose is just too plain. These stockings jazz things up a little.
Nancy, I saw some patterned tights at DSW Shoes this week, so if you have one of those, check it out.
