Fashion over 50: Summer Dress

Hey, friends!  I’m back with a Fashion over 50 today and that new dress that I showed you a couple weeks ago.  This is the most I’ve dressed up in a week and I wore this dress in Charleston and also to church last Sunday.  It’s a very versatile dress from Nordstrom Rack and it’s a great sale price!

These pics are not my best, my phone was set on a different setting than normal, but hopefully you can see how cute it is. I love the fabric and print, in navy, turquoise and white, which happen to be some of my favorite colors.

The dress is from Nordstrom Rack, but I just checked and it’s all sold out!  Bummer!

It’s cut in at the shoulders, but not really too bare at all, so I did wear a strapless bra with it.  I really like the band at the waist, which accentuates the waistline and the body of the dress flows and is not form fitting.  The fabric is a jersey knit which I love for summer. These type fabrics wash and wear better than any fabric out there.  I really love cotton, but hate ironing it in the summer.

This is such a cute dress and a great addition to my summer wardrobe.  These turquoise suede wedge shoes are by Sam Edelman and I got them a couple of years ago, so no longer available.

Hanging with Miss Holly on the porch.  I feel really cute in this dress and love how it feels and wears.  I could also easily wear dressy flat sandals with it and it would be equally cute.  My pretty turquoise jewelry is a nice addition.

The light coming in made this photo completely weird, but you can get an idea of the back of the dress, also cute from this angle, with 2 buttons and a zipper down the back.  It was such a great price at $26, but unfortunately it’s sold out now! I’m glad I shared it before so a few of you could get it before it sold out. One of my blog friends told me she bought it after seeing it on my Instagram stories.

Here are a few more from the Sandra Darren brand that are still in stock and also great prices, so see if any of these catch your eye (affiliate link). I included this one too, in case they restock. Also, if you’ve been on social media at all, you know the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is in full swing for a few more days and they do have some great deals, previews of the new Fall season, so I’ve included a few things that caught my eye as well:

Cute dress on you, Rhoda! I love the color. That is one of my favorite colors. I haven’t seen you doing your curly hair much yet this summer. That is all I have been doing is curly with a straight day thrown in there once in a awhile. Holly is a great pet I bet!

HI, Bonnie, I haven’t done curly as much, you’re right. I’m wearing it a little shorter in the back, so I know I’ll be doing curly again soon. Still trying to find the best products too to keep the frizz down and as we’ve talked about, keeping the curl looking good for more than one day is a challenge. When I straighten it, the style lasts longer.

Miss Holly ❤️🐕. Just loving the addition of that sweet doggie to your posts. I hope that she is keeping cool in this yucky heat. Love your blog ! You are the most “REAL’ blogger that I follow. You stay true to you and don’t jump on the blogland bandwagon where everything begins to look the same. XXXX

THank you, Lynne, I really want to stay in my lane and do what I do best, which is not follow all the trends and stay true to me. So thank you for noticing!
