Fashion over 50: Summer Separates

I’ve pulled a few sales together today for your viewing pleasure. I love black and white and always seem to gravitate to those shades a lot in my wardrobe. As always, the summer sales are going on and these are all from Loft, Banana Republic, an White House Black Market. Most of these shops have an on outlet with even better pricing, so I usually shop there first.

We had a good 4th of July and celebrated with fireworks in our small town of Acworth by the lake. Summer is humming along a usual and we don’t have any travel plans until August when we go back to the beach again. Looking forward to that a lot! Mom is going back to the doctor this week for another look to see if she is a candidate for any of the “plasty” procedures which injects a substance into her back for stabilization, so we will see how that goes. Her back is healing some and she’s not in as much pain as she was when this all started after Mother’s Day. Still hoping she gets back to doing her normal home routine. The tomatoes are looking good over there and we will be picking ripe ones this week, I think! I’ll do an update on that soon too.

Rhoda, I’m so glad that your Mom is feeling a little better. We will continue to pray that the plasty procedure will help her.
Thanks for all the lovely items you find for us each Wednesday!
    Have a great week!

Hi Rhoda, I didn’t realize that your mom was having problems with her back. I’m so sorry I missed that information and will definitely be saying many prayers for her, and that whatever procedures are being done, will be helpful and reduce her pain. Please keep us updated as you have promised! thanks so much.

Thank you, Diane, yes she has had arthritis in her back for at least 7 years, but it has gotten worse and she has compression fractures. Her back is just giving out. It’s hard to watch them decline but that’s the stage we are in now. Her pain is some better than it was a few weeks ago, so I’m hopeful she heals more and it gets better over time. They didn’t recommend anything other than an epidural if she wants to try that, but she doesn’t at this time.

So happy to hear that your mother is a little better and pray she continues to improve more each day.
