Happy Wednesday, friends! Thank you all for the sweet comments on my 12 years of blogging post. I loved reading each and every comment and you all are really like friends to me. I love to see your familiar names stopping by here and there and keeping me company on this blog every week. Y’all are the best encouragers!
Today’s Fashion over 50 isn’t earth shattering, in fact I’ve shared this dress before. Mark bought me this when we were dating. He picked it out himself surprised me with it, I think for Valentines that first year. He’s so sweet!
I’m also going to introduce you to a new fashion friend at the end of the post, so stay tuned for that.
It’s a cream colored cable knit sweater dress and it’s so cozy on colder days like we’ve had lately.
The scarf is one I saw online and put on my Christmas list and my sister got it for me. I’ll link it below.
I wore this to church one Sunday and it was so comfortable and cozy.
Topping it with the coat from Old Navy, I love the combo of camel, black and cream.
And the scarf really sets it all off.
We are busy, busy around here with the kitchen reno! The quartz went in last week and the faucet too, so it’s looking so good. I’m so happy with all my choices! We are now working on the backsplash and since we are Baby Boomers and feeling it many days, it’s taking us longer to get it done. We worked last weekend and got one side done, now on to the next side. It’s quite the process to lay out a tile backsplash too and we’re trying to do it to look the best possible. We’re slow, but we’ll get it done and I can’t wait to share it all with you!
Before I close this post today, I want to introduce you to a new friend, Susanne with Thompson Hill. She’s a fairly new blogger, getting started in fashion, cooking, crafts, and lots more, so stop over and visit her and get to know her a little bit! She’s sharing a fashion post today too, so go over and visit her!
Here are a couple of boot options similar to mine and a couple of sweater dresses too. The scarf I have is linked below too (affiliate links).
You look so young and happy in that closeup picture! My sister and I share Christmas lists too…we are quite shameless about it! 😉. Stay warm and safe, sweet Rhoda.
Can’t wait to see the big reveal! I sympathize with moving slower on reno projects. My husband and I are redoing a bathroom due to a water leak. I had planned to paint the room on Saturday but only got the cutting in and one wall done. Why is it so exhausting painting around toilets? I had to stop and rest! Got the remainder done Monday.
On to putting up new lighting, the mirror and then installing the new cabinet, old top and faucet, window treatment. I need a nap just thinking about it.
Hi, Janet, oh the pain of renovations. I’m so ready to get this backsplash done. It sounded so simple and easy, a snap to get it done. Not so much!
Love cream colored warm sweater anything in the winter ! Your dress is amazing and look great on with boots . I know your kitchen will be awesome 😊
So many advertisements … sorry I can’t read your post without seeing all the adds!
Hi, Bev, sorry about that, they are not supposed to cover up my posts. Are you on a phone or computer? Thanks!
I only had one ad on my tablet!
That is a gorgeous look on you! I love the neutrals and your scarf is darling!
Can hardly wait to see “ after” pictures. My daughter has been renewing their house for over a year now painting every room in the house, painting kitchen cupboards, new carpet, and new countertops. And she has felt her aches!! I live vicariously through her 😊
Love that cream dress on you Rhoda…and your coat and scarf look awesome with it. I think you are looking younger with every picture I see! Must be a happy life making you glow like that!
THank you, Diane, it is a very happy life!
Thanks Rhoda! Found you through Susanne with Thompson Hill and so excited to subscribe. Finally someone like me! Ha!! Take care
Thank you, Jes, so happy to have you with me!
Happy New Year – now that it’s February. Lovely wardrobe choices, especially the scarf, so versatile – and it’s hard not to love a sweater dress.
We’re not renovating, exactly, but about to undertake a major facelift at our house. It’s taken me a long time to decide what I wanted for this house, it’s completely different, and much more traditional, than any of the homes we’ve lived in before. Thanks for sharing your progress, it keeps some of us motivated.
Thank you for stopping by!
You look great with these boots!!!!
