Fashion over 50: Winter White Sweater Dress

I’m back today with another fashion over 50 idea and this one is a white sweater dress.  My sweetie actually gave this to me for Valentines Day and I was so surprised.  We had browsed in Belk together and he was gathering ideas for a present for me but I didn’t know that.  I love Winter White and love wearing this color year round, but a sweater dress is only good for the cooler months.

I wore it with gray, but it could be mixed up in other ways too, so I’ll be coming up with other ideas for it.  These taupe suede boots by Very Volatile are no longer available.

The dress is by AGB, but I can’t find it online anywhere either.

Winter white and gray/taupe are a nice combo and I added the scarf to sort of tie it all together.

Silver jewelry completes the look. It’s a beautiful dress and I love it!  He did good, didn’t he?  Definitely a keeper. 🙂  He also brought me white tulips for another special occasion and I’m getting pretty spoiled, yes, I am!

Aren’t they beautiful?!

Here are 3 sweater dresses I found that would give a similar look, if you’re interested.

Rhoda, it does my heart good to know that you are enjoying life with your honey! You two seem to be a perfect match because the two of you are very detail oriented. Both the dress and the flowers are beautiful!

Love the dress! I tried one on in Stein Mart & never went back to get it. 🙁 I talked myself out of it since I didn’t know if I would wear it enough being a light color but it was so good looking! The dress as a gift is perfect…..no decisions, ha! Enjoy ! You look great in the dress!

How sweet! That was very brave buying you an outfit, but it’s a definite winner. It would also look cute worn with a low-slung thicker belt as a sort of tunic, and perhaps a thicker legging. Just thinking of options! Those boots get me everytime. The colour is so versatile.

Hey sweet friend! Love the sweater dress on you and how you styled it. The lip color is a great color too! So happy for you and your sweetie! You deserve this! He’s a lucky guy!

Wow, you look beautiful in that dress. I agree, he’s a pretty brave guy to buy clothes but he’s got a good eye. If anyone is interested, I got some great boots for women with wider feet. Birkenstocks, of all things. They do not look bulbous or clowny like I would imagine. Farmington Birkenstocks in black or brown. (I got black). They are extremely comfortable. Congratulations on your charming romance.
