Fashion over 60: Summer Shorts & Tops

I have a few new finds to share with you today, as well as some great summer longer Bermuda shorts. I don’t know about you, but when it starts heating up, I wear shorts and sleeveless tops. Staying cool is the name of the game during the hot and humid days of summer in Georgia. They are really starting to heat up now! We’ve had lots of rain, which really brings in the humidity, so I’ll be grabbing the shorts more and more. I’ve got some great ones for you today, as well as a few summer tops that I recently got.

You can find all these links on my Shop My page, so click over and happy shopping! I just ordered those green shorts, I can’t resist that color.

Here are a few tops I ordered recently (quick try ons!). My friend Cyndi Spivey just shared this smocked top from Old Navy and for $15 on sale, I had to have it too. I ordered it and picked up at the store and hoped it would go with those palazzo pants I have. I got it in Medium since I didn’t want it too tight.

And it does look great with this skirt/pants, so now I’ve got several tops I can wear with it. The palazzo pants are from Brittany/Addison’s Wonderland online shop. I really like high/low fashion and mixing inexpensive pieces with nicer ones are the way to go. They all look great together.

I love comfy tanks in summer and found this black/white stripe at Amazon and it’s on sale right now for $9.94. I got it in M also and it fits nicely and is stretchy as well. You can’t beat the price for this top and it has several color options in solids and stripes.

I wanted a white tank top to wear with shorts and jeans and this one with a built-in bra fits my needs well. The bra is sewn in and won’t shift around and it’s made of a spandex blend, but also soft in a ribbed material with banding around the neck and arms. I ordered Medium and it fits well. Anytime I can find something that has a built-in bra, I’m all for it.

Closer look at the banding. It is higher on the armholes so not too bare either. There’s a $2 coupon right now, making it $17.99. I may get another color in this, like black, but there are several colors to choose from. I’ll be watching for more sales in this one!

I also ordered these Quince Navy Striped linen pants (ordered Small) and love them. They will be perfect for the beach or wearing around town with sandals this summer. I’ll wear that white tank top with these too.

I still love these wide leg yoga pants I’ve shared before. They are very comfy, I got a Medium Tall and wanted them to not be so snug and they fit nicely as well. I can wear these on trips with tennis shoes and they could even be dressed up. They are spandex type material and soft too with flat pockets. I’m going to order another pair, I like them so much!

That’s all for today, so thanks as always for stopping by!
