Thank you ALL so much for coming by this week and signing up for all the giveaways!  I hope you enjoyed all of them and if you missed signing up for a few, they will be open for a few more days (just scroll down below this post to see all 11 of them).  I’ll close them out by the middle of next week and announce the lucky winners.  It was fun to have some exciting products to offer to my faithful readers (that would be YOU!) and I sincerely appreciate all of you who come by and visit me on a daily basis.  It’s been 5 years to remember!

I’m back with another inspiring Feature Friday, with Courtney of A Thoughtful Place.  A cute young mom of 2, Courtney has some great style and has really done a lot to her home.  I know you are going to love it!

See what a cute family they are?!

Courtney and family

Their living room is very stylish, with neutrals and bits of color.  Courtney really has a great sense of style and puts it all together with panache.

From subway art, to carefully placed accessories and chairs, love her choice of colors and fabrics.

living room

The rug is a wonderfully neutral, but anchors the space well.

bookshelf

A prettily accessorized bookcase.

writing on the wall

Courtney turned a wall into a writing surface and wrote some of her favorite things at the bottom of the stairs.

Love, love the kitchen reno.  They had white cabinets and the dark countertop when they moved in and added the white subway tile.  I adore subway tile and would love to use it again.

This is one beautiful kitchen.  I love the contrast of light cabinets and dark counters.

That subway tile is such a nice addition.

dining room

Courtney’s dining room has striped drapes mixed with dark table and white painted chairs.

chair makeover

She shows how she recovered the seats and painted the chairs, adding these pulls on the back.

boy's room

Her son’s room is so fresh with greens and blues.  Love this space!

Love the mix of patterns and textures.

toy storage

And this organized toy space is so cute!

girl's room

Don’t forget the girl’s room, pretty in pink.

Don’t you agree that Courtney is one talented mama?!  Stop over to A Thoughtful Place and say hello to Courtney, I know she would love to meet you.

I have white cabinets and dark counters…was wondering what kind of tile backsplash I might add later and after seeing the subway tile, I think I have my answer!! What a lovely and serene home! Good job Courtney!

This is such a beautiful house. The kitchen seems large! I would love to see how it is layed out. The house has tons of natural light and seems very open. She did a great job… Thanks for sharing!

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but aren’t there 2 different kitchens in the pictures above? And the 2nd one looks like Isabella and Max’s kitchen. Am I confused?

I was just thinking the same thing- those are two different kitchens, both lovely & I’d kill for either but two different kitchens.

Good eye, Shary! I was just seeing if ya’ll were paying attention today. Just kidding! That’s what I get for not reading the whole post that I borrowed pics from. She was giving Janell a shout-out for inspiration from her beautiful kitchen. Both are lovely, but the one above is now all Courtney!

2 questions – Did she make her subway poster? And how did she create the handwritten wall? Wall decals or paint? Very nice either way…love the look! Cute home!

LOVE the kitchen to! I want to do something to my back splash. We built the house 21 years ago and it’s only had sheet rock for the back splash and I really want to do something with it. The cabinet tops also need replacing and I have no idea what color I’d want to go with. I do know I want a neutral color because all I would have to do is change curtains to change the colors and I like being able to change the colors like that.
A friend of ours told me if I was going to use tiles for the back splash I would need to use 4″ ones and it would make it easier for me to cut the tiles for all the plug ins. Never thought about that. He does stuff like this all the time. He’s the one that made my wall of shelves this past Monday for my sewing room. That’s been my project for the past few days.

I love how there are texts throughout the home. As someone who loves reading, quotations, and words, I totally appreciate this. Now if I can just convince my husband to let me write on a wall…
