Feature Friday: The Brick Nests

Back today with another great Feature Friday and bloggers Jillian and Lisa, friends and neighbors who started the blog The Brick Nests, documenting both of their home adventures in Massachusetts.  Today’s feature is Jillian’s traditional brick front home, that looks like a Colonial from the front door view, one of my personal fave styles.

Stop over the visit these ladies and come along for a tour of Jillian’s pretty home.

I love this traditional entry door with pretty Colonial molding, stone walkway and the gorgeous turquoise front door.

A mudroom and organizing space.

The family room is open and casual with 2 pretty arched windows flanking the fireplace.

Love rooms like this, with symmetry and beauty.

Check out these very fun built-in window seats on either side of the fireplace.

Looking out from the kitchen, which was newly renovated.

Another beautiful white kitchen, which is just my style.

Gorgeous backsplash tile.

An island for seating.

Peeking into the dining room with a painted rug in black and white check on the floor.

I’m loving that check!

Master bedroom

Master bathroom.

Love the tiled shower and all the beautiful updates.

I really like a pretty tiled wall in the bathroom as well as this tiled kneewall.

Son’s bedroom.

Guest room makeover.

I can see that Jillian decorates with a mix of vintage, traditional and a little modern, a nice collected look.

And that’s a fun tour of The Brick Nests and Jillian’s home. Hope you’ll stop over and check out their blog and say hello!

One of the brands I work with, Shaw Floors, has a special coupon going right now for their anniversary Sale, so if you’re in the market for flooring, check it out, Shaw Floors coupon!

Love the 3 hanging lights over the island. Does anyone know where they come from?

Thanks for showcasing this beautiful home.

HI, Tammy, you can go over to Jillian’s blog and ask her there. She may or may not see this.

Rhoda, Happy Friday! I look forward to Feature Friday every week and you never dissapoint! It’s fun to see all the different decorating styles out there and I love the way each person and home have their own personal stamp on it. This was another beautiful feature! I love the dining room! Red is a great color for that space and it looks so unique with the painted black and white rug. Her home is so gorgeous and doesn’t have that cookie cutter look that so many are doing now.

Love the door color, in Dallas a realtor is painting doors that same color or Taylor Blue we call it to honor organ donation and a beautiful young girl, Taylor Storch, who donated her organs 7 years ago after a tragic ski accident. Taylor is my sweet friend’s daughter and they started a non-profit called Taylor’s Gift to honor organ donors. They do some terrific work to help families of organ recipients and donors.

I love the house! the fabric on the dining room chairs is great – would love to use something like this on my dining room chairs to spruce them up a bit.
