Feature Friday: Brooklyn Limestone

Another Friday! Yay for that! Mark and I are heading to St. Simons for the weekend and so looking forward to that. We’re staying at the King and Prince and this is the first time Mark’s been down there, so I look forward to exploring with him.

Today’s Feature Friday is Stefanie, who I’ve known online for a long time. We both started blogging eons ago and I finally met her at Haven a few years ago. She’s a native New Yorker and as the name of her blog implies, Brooklyn Limestone, she and her family live in a 100 year old limestone in NYC. I’ve so enjoyed watching her renovate this home, making room for 2 kids along the way. It’s funny how we get to know other bloggers online and we are all cheering each other on in our home journeys.

This entry is just stunning with the tile work and molding on the walls.

A great way to welcome guests.

I think these floors are original and they are just magnificent.

Living room and a side table project she did with a map.

I love her kitchen renovation, so pretty.

It looks so timeless and goes with the feel of this historic building.

I think this is a powder room, love the tile work.

Master bedroom in blues.

Master bathroom.

Her son’s nursery is so cute!

This is Stefanie’s office back in the beginning of her blog, which I loved. It was pre-kids, so she recently revamped it to fit her needs better.

Desk space

Storage shelves

Guest room

Guest bath

Man cave

Good looking mid century modern TV console.

And they have a fun outdoor space that Stephanie worked on to make it a great place to relax.

Complete with playhouse.

Even a city limestone house needs an outdoor space. I’m sure they enjoy it. I hope you enjoyed seeing Stefanie’s beautiful home at Brooklyn Limestone. I love to see how other people live, don’t you?

Have a great weekend!

I would love to know the paint color on the kitche Cabinets. It looks like a creamy white which is the look I’m going for.

Hi Rhoda, I have been following Stefanie since before her daughter was born. I looooove brownstones and love her taste. Her Halloween decorations are amazing and I wish your readers would remember to click over to her blog in a few weeks. As you know, they won’t be disappointed.

Oh my goodness, I had no idea you knew Stefanie! I, too, have been following her long before she started her family, and also especially love her Halloween decor and parties… her invitations are generally insanely creative. Ditto her Christmas cards/mailings. She is awesome, and your readers should absolutely check back in a few weeks to see her Halloween decor this year. She also does great travel posts, and has an apartment at the beach she has done a great job with.

It’s well worth searching the blog for before and after pics of her brownstone, it’s mind boggling what they have done.

HI, Tammy, we met early on in blogging and then I got to finally meet her. Great girl and yes, amazing transformation in her brownstone.
