This is a revamped Feature Friday from 2013, so hope you enjoy, since Jennifer has moved into another house since the first feature.
Please welcome fellow blogger, Jennifer Carroll from Celebrating Everyday Life. In addition to the blog, she is also the publisher of a new magazine also titled Celebrating Everyday Life with Jennifer Carroll, I’m not sure the magazine is still going, but her blog is. I met Jennifer early on as a blogger and love her style and her zest for really celebrating the every day of our lives. What a great motto! She has a beautiful home and I know you’re going to love it as much as I do.
Jennifer was a teenaged model, moving to NYC to pursue her career, then moved to Los Angeles, where she landed a dream job working at Davidoff of Geneva in Beverly Hills and her career as an event planner took off. She has quite the story! As an event planner with almost 20 years of experience, Jennifer knows all the insider tricks and tips on turning a party into a CELEBRATION! And as a mom she knows how to make a party special even when time, energy and sometimes even funds are in short supply!
This hutch project was the first furniture DIY project that Jennifer attempted and her first foray into painting with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. Jennifer says, this paint has been DIY-life changing!
After a divorce, Jennifer bought this cute ranch stone and brick house that she’s been fixing up, so take a look at her spaces.
As you will see, Jennifer loves blue and white too and has it displaced in most of her spaces. It looks very fresh and pretty.
She revamped the fireplace and painted the brick white which I love.
I love the beams in her house, adds so much cottage charm.
She painted her kitchen cabinets herself and they look great.
I love the idea of adding fabric to some doors.
Dining room table.
And her sunroom space turned into the perfect office.
More blue and white.
Such a cute space.
And the guest room.
Jennifer loves turquoise (along with many of us!) and had a lot of fun with it in her bedroom. She said her mom helped her sew the wall canopy and her dad helped her hang it.
She said she knows the rug doesn’t match the canopy but it’s still a lovely compliment and she adores the pattern so much that for her it works and at the end of the day, that’s what matters most is that this room makes her feel happy! I totally agree with that theory. Our homes should make US completely happy, even if they don’t appeal to everyone. I think it’s a beautiful room!
This silver leaf dresser project was a big project she took on, it was her grandmother’s and she loves having something of hers that now also adds a bit of glamour to the room with all its silver sparkle!
I hope you enjoyed this glimpse into Jennifer’s home! In fact, I know you did. Jennifer doe a lot of printables, journals, and more on her blog. She lives in Virginia and her home shows her style and personality to perfection.
Love it especially the silver leaf dresser!
Beautiful!! Jennifer has exquisite taste. I love her inspiring blog and have been blessed to follow her since the day she launched her previous issue of the magazine. But, as beautiful as her tables, vignettes, and home is…she is beautiful inside and that spirit comes through her blog in the most lovely and inviting way.
Thanks Rhoda for featuring one of my favorite bloggers!!
Hope your weekend is Extraordinary!!

Rhoda,
Thanks for sharing Jennifer’s house. It is just lovely. I love the vignettes. I would love to have seen a pic of the outside also. Is it a farmhouse or ranch?
Awesome decor —- I so love orange and turquoise. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much for a fun view of a new blog this morning, Rhoda. Enjoyed the glamourous picture of Loretta Young on her grandmother’s dresser. Does that date me? Always appreciate what you choose to share with us.
Having silver leafed a small box, I very much appreciate that dresser!! Also, leave it to me to find the smallest (thrifty) detail…but I love that poinsettia vintage picnic in the tin. Great style, and I love all the personal details.
What a great feature! Thanks for the introduction!!
love the silver leafdresser and christmas tree
So pretty…love the silver leaf dresser, wow!
Blessings,
Cindy
Lovely – is the picture above the dresser her grandmother or a movie star?
Very beautiful; the nursery is outstanding!I really like the carpet in her room. The slight incongruity brings the space to life and is repeated in the bed pillow. If she’s worried, maybe she could find or make a bolster that ties in all the lovely colours, but I don’t think it’s necessary. ( I just love pillows.)
As always, your generous spirit has introduced to yet another blog!
Very pretty. Love the mix of neutrals with color.
