Feature Friday: Charleston Crafted

Happy Friday, friends! It’s the first official weekend of Spring and I’m so ready for it! I think I’ll get our back deck set up for sitting this weekend. I’ll bring the cushions in at night though since pollen is coming, but I can hardly wait to get out there again!

Meet husband and wife duo, Morgan and Sean from Charleston Crafted for today’s Feature Friday. They bought their first house in 2016 after living for a few years in a condo and are fixing it up to create a coastal style home with lots of DIYing along the way.

As their blog name implies, they are in Charleston, SC and bought this cute fixer upper to make their own. They also have a pretty lake view in the backyard, which I’m sure was a selling point.

The living room and the whole house has a beachy vibe with shades of teal and turquoise. You know I love these colors!

Just adding paint makes a big difference in the feel of a house.

They did a huge DIY project on the kitchen, painting the cabinets and replacing the backsplash and countertops.

It turned out really cute too with the aqua island and that glass tile backsplash!

They used a recycled glass countertop and it looks so pretty with all those subtle colors. I’ve never seen one of these in person, but it looks very appealing especially for a beachy house.

They built this table and bench themselves.

They have a cute sunroom too.

And the washer dryer area has a beach feel as well with organization and storage.

They are still working on the master bedroom and bathroom, but here’s a peek.

They built this sliding barn door for the bathroom.

And maybe the cutest room in the house might be this nursery.

Isn’t it the cutest?

I love the wallpaper and the wainscot.

And that beadboard coffered ceiling is so creative!

Love what they did to this space. I think I read they covered up their popcorn ceiling.

Outdoors, they’ve been busy as well creating some nice outdoor areas for lounging.

Their dog seems to approve!

A pergola and hammock round out the backyard for a peaceful retreat and lake view.

I love their cute house at Charleston Crafted, so hope you’ll go over and visit this DIY couple!

What most beautiful home Rhoda of this talented DIY couple….Every room beautifully appointed and the outdoors truly a retreat! I am in awe of the dining room table and benches. I see so many beautiful details throughout the house. I so love Charleston and how wonderful to be able to make a home there! Have a great weekend Rhoda!

I love their casual beach aesthetic. I’ve gone for a similar look in my Florida home, but with a little more white (no kids, no pets). I really enjoy reading blogs about southern coastal areas because the seasonal focus of many other blogs isn’t appropriate to our climate.
