Feature Friday: Decorating with Red, White, and Blue

A Happy 4th of July to all of you today!

Since today is the 4th and a very special time of celebration for our country, I thought I’d share some beautiful decorating pics of rooms done in a red, white, and blue color scheme.  These 3 colors that are so grounded in our country just flow together and I never tire of seeing them used together.  I hope you enjoy these inspiring images of lovely rooms all decked out in our country’s colors.

Fly those flags proudly!

And one of my favorite Southern bloggers who decorates so beautifully with red, white, and blue is Kelly from Talk of the House. She’s down in middle Georgia, not all that far from me and I just love her casual and comfortable approach to decorating her home in these patriotic colors.   She has just done a series of 3 posts on her Summer home tour and if you really want to be inspired, hop over and see lots more of Kelly’s house.

She has used red and blue  in such creative and easy ways.

And you can’t help but feel nostalgic when you scroll through her home pics.

Bravo, Kelly for using these signature colors in such a special way. Your home screams Americana and country living at it’s best.

Happy 4th, my friends!  Hope you all enjoy this beautiful day and weekend to the fullest.  I’ll be busy with fireworks and some fun for sure!

Happy 4th of July, Rhoda! Thank God for our Country & may He protect it from those who seek to destroy it.
I always look forward to your posts. You have great ideas about fixing up a house. Ideas that I am using right now as my husband & I prepare to sell our house next year. I love the bead wallpaper & will use it in the bathroom we are updating. I’m also will be using your tutorial on basement stairs.

Hope the Fourth was full of fun and celebration, we had cloudy weather and then heavy rain as the hurricane passed near the southern New England coast. Gorgeous day, today, though! Love all the rooms shown here, especially those of Kelly’s home. Not sure if it was your blog that first sent me to her, but I have been an avid follower for quite a long time. She has great taste and wonderful posts on a variety of topics. Love you both, that’s for sure.

Happy Fourth, Rohda! Hope you had a fabulous holiday. Loving all these rooms, but my fave has to be the cute daybed in the House Beautiful pic (or the toile chairs or the buffalo check curtains or…..!). Oh heck, I love them all! Thanks for a great post. Jane
