Welcome to Feature Friday, where I feature bloggers and homes around the internet that you might not be familiar with. Â Today’s feature is Danielle, from Finding Silver Pennies. Â I’m just getting to know Danielle, but when I saw her beautiful 1927 Dutch Colonial, I wanted to share it with all of you. Â Danielle and her beautiful family live in Massachusetts in a town by the sea.
She’s married to a British man and they have 2 beautiful boys. How fun to be able to walk to the beach and enjoy that scenery.
She had me at this Dutch Colonial. Â I just love a charming and quaint house. Â I’m not going to keep talking, but enjoy the tour of Dani’s pretty home in New England.
Wasn’t that a fun tour of Dani’s home?  I just knew you would love it as much as I did.  Check out the charming she-shed above that she made over.  Adorable!  Stop by Finding Silver Pennies and get to know Danielle.  She has a really pretty blog and enjoys painting and making over furniture.  In fact, she will be with us at  Haven this year teaching a painting class.  Looking forward to that!
Just a note to all my readers!  I usually post 5 times a week, but you’ll probably notice me posting only 4 this summer.  I think I did the same thing last year.  Summer is here and Haven Conference is just around the corner and life gets busy, so I’m slowing down the pace and enjoying my summer again this year.  Thanks as always for supporting my blog and visiting me here on my little space on the internet.  I couldn’t do this without all of you!  I hope you all have a fantastic Memorial Day holiday with your family and friends!  Lauren is coming home with the girls for a week and we can’t wait to get our hands on those adorable cute things.Â
cute house!
Thanks , Barbara xx
I am familiar with Danielle’s gorgeous home and happy to see it here today. In addition to all of her beautiful rooms I always swoon over that magnificent arbor. Great feature here today and have a great weekend Rhoda!
Thanks, Shirley. I love our little arbor too and so happy to report that the autumn clematis has come back (it didn’t bloom last year).
Danielle’s home reminds me so much of our home in Mass where I spent many of my growing up years, summers at the Cape….. great memories! I like her style, very homey and welcoming.
I’m happy you’ll have the ladies with you for the holiday weekend, I know you’ll enjoy them, please take lots of photos of everyone to share!
It’s great you’re going to slow down a bit for the summer, life’s too short to work all of the time, no to mention, “all work and no play….” “gives you grey hair & wrinkles”, ok, busted, I made that part up…..
Have a fabulous weekend and the best summer ever!!!
Thank you, you always make me smile!
Thank you! We love the Cape. We’re very close to it – in Scituate. xx
Love the house! And I must admit, I’ve never seen a corner toilet!! That could be really convenient in a lot of spaces. So I learned something as well.
Ha… I also noticed the corner toilet. Interesting. I wonder if it was related to some sort of ‘old’ and ‘odd’ plumbing in this older house.
Jane and Becky, the corner toilet isn’t original plumbing though love that idea. We only have one full bath upstairs and the previous owner add the 1/2 bath and laundry in what was the pantry off the kitchen. The corner toilet was custom made. It is such a wee little bathroom.
Finding Silver Pennies is a wonderful blog! I absolutely love the Coastal charm of Danielle’s gorgeous home! 😉
Thanks you, Rebeca. I’m a beach girl as you know. Happiest with salty hair and skin.
What a beautiful home! I enjoy your blog so much, Rhoda. I hope you have a lovely holiday weekend with your family! xo
Thanks, Tamara xx
I love everything about this house, especially the vintage-looking kitchen cabinets and the dining chairs. It’s refreshing to see a historic home that still retains character and isn’t over decorated. Well done, Dani. Have a wonderful summer on that pretty porch! Thanks for this post, Rhoda 🙂
Thank you, Rachel, it was important for me to make the house feel like our home while still honoring its history. We’ve been enjoying the porch so much. Wishing you a lovely summer, too.
Thank you, Rhoda, for featuring my home & blog. Happy Memorial Day xx
Love this house. Makes me think of Maine.
Thanks, Wanda x
Have a wonderful long week-end! I’ll be reading your blog everyday that you post as always!
I will miss reading you everyday, but will check to see your new posts. Enjoy your summer!
I’ve been following Danielle’s blog for quite awhile now I I love her home and everything that she creates there. SIGH . . . is there anything more romantic than a house by the sea? How great that she will be teaching at Haven this year. Thanks for sharing Rhoda ?
OMG, beautiful wife, sexy British husband, TWO BOYS! AND – – a house on the beach……who could ask for more!
Thanks for the “life candy”.
Hugs, cat
