HI friends, it’s Friday again and that means another Feature Friday!

I just love to discover new bloggers and share them with you.  Today, it’s Courtney with Golden Boys and Me.  Courtney is married, with 3 boys and 2 Golden retreivers, hence the Golden Boys part of her blog.  She and her hubby live in the NJ suburbs of NYC and are avid DIYers fixing up 3 homes in their 19 years of marriage.  She says she loves to read other blogs and get ideas on how to do it themselves.

Golden Boys and Me Home Tour

They live in a 1950’s split level and even though it’s not their first choice in house styles, they found that with the high price of real estate and taxes in their area, that this house was exactly what they needed for their family and have lived here for 8 years, fixing up many rooms along the way.  I think you’ll enjoy Courtney’s down to earth, comfy style, so enjoy the tour!

Everything feels so welcoming just inside the door.

The family room.  Courtney is definitely outnumbered by the men in her family, but she has managed to make her home feminine and comfortable at the same time.

Courtney says she shops mainly at Homegoods and Target and anything she does has to withstand daily use by 3 boys and 2 hairy dogs.  I’d say she’s managed to balance that out well.

They renovated the kitchen 6 years ago and it looks so cozy and welcoming.

They added the farmhouse sink during the renovation and removed 2 walls, opening up the kitchen to the rest of the space.

The family room looks like a great spot for those Goldens to hang out.

Love the master in blue and white.

The renovated their master bath for under $7K, so you can check that out if you’re interested in that project. I love to see how people save money doing things on a budget.  We all have budgets, don’t we?
