Happy Friday my friends! We are taking the day off, Mark and I and heading to the North Georgia mountains with his parents for a little leaf peeping, family visits, and some apple pie eating. Should be a good day for it! Mark has a 94 year old great aunt who lives in Blue Ridge.
Today’s Feature Friday is Laura from Inspiration for Moms Laura has a DIY blog and she’s been updating her 90’s house over the last 4 years since they’ve lived there. She shares doable updates that anyone can achieve, so I think you’ll enjoy the tour of Laura’s home today.
Her Fall front porch is just adorable with the pink mums and white pumpkins piled in black lanterns.
I love this cozy spot on her front porch, great for porch sitting.
Their living room does double duty as office space and TV watching room.
I love the updates to Laura’s kitchen, she took the cabinets all the way to the ceiling and then painted them all a pretty gray shade and added subway tile.
Such a fresh and clean look.
The dining room is decorated for Fall with purple shades of pumpkins.
Master bedroom has a Fallish look as well.
And here’s their outdoor space, a spacious deck.
Love this lounging area in black and white, a great combo.
Laura has done a wonderful job with her updates and I hear there’s a guest bath update coming to the blog next week that is going to be gorgeous, so check back later for that. I saw a sneak peek and love it! Hope you’ll stop by and visit Laura at Inspiration for Moms, she’s a budget friendly blogger with lots of great tips!

There is no such thing as too many floral urns. Are they called urns? Have a fun weekend! Winter came to Denver early this week! laura

The cabinets brought up to the ceiling is new to me. Is that a trend in newer designs? I worry that it may make my kitchen feel smaller. Please let me know if this is thecase. Thanks so much! Be blessed!

Hi, Cheryl ann, having cabinets go all the way to the ceiling is actually a way to lengthen them and make it all seem taller. It’s been happening in the last decade or so and is big in kitchen design now.
