Hope you’re all enjoying your 4th of July holiday as much as possible considering where we are at the moment in our country. Travel is definitely not as frequent these days.
I’ve got a brand new Feature Friday for you today and I’m so excited to share this one with you! My long time blog friend, Michael from Inspired by Charm is so talented and has been blogging almost as long as I have. He’s absolutely one of the top bloggers out there when it comes to decorating, recipes and DIY projects. When he first started blogging, he ran a historic B&B in PA which was super charming, but then decided to buy another house 2 years ago outside Pittsburgh, which he has renovated and really made his own. You’re going to love it! Michael calls his house Bayberry House after the street his grandparents lived on.
Please note I’ve disabled pinning on this post, so please go to Michael’s blog and pin from the source.
This 1955 charmer was just waiting for Michael to get his hands on it. The house had great bones to start with and he has really improved it and made it even better.
Michael did an extensive landscaping project after moving in and removed a grouping of trees, added plants, and new grass which really upped his curb appeal.
That little side porch is such a great house feature.
Coming in the foyer. Michael did an extensive remodel last year on his kitchen, which also involved the dining room and powder room. You’ll notice a mix of seasons in the photos and Michael is known for his styling skills. He’s great at styling a room!
The living room off the foyer.
The family room which changes with the seasons. I love this room and that fireplace.
He has a great collection of paint by number vintage paintings.
Michael’s kitchen renovation is so classic and timeless.
He added a butler’s pantry in that closet which is so pretty and charming.
Michael is the king of Christmas decorating and I’ll share more of that below.
The powder room was part of the kitchen renovation and really turned out so great.
Michael was a featured designer in the One Room Challenge Spring edition 2019 and made over his bedroom. I love his eclectic mix and he has such a great style of his own.
The back deck got a makeover too and looks so pretty and spacious.
He also added a firepit area in his backyard. Such a great space!
Now back to Christmas. Michael has been featured numerous times in Better Homes and Gardens Christmas Ideas magazine, landing on the cover one year! I’m so proud of his accomplishments, so well deserved.
HIs Christmas trees are legendary in blogland.
This gradient tree is my absolute favorite, but they’re all fantastic aren’t they?

How refreshing to see his use of color! I am impressed with his paint-by-number collection. I have acquired several over the past couple of years – and my friends thought I was crazy; I am envious of his selection. Thanks for introducing me to a new blogger – not that he will take your place. LOL Happy 4th!

As soon as I saw the house I knew it was Bayberry House! I have loved following Michaels blog Inspired by Charm for many years and he is one super talented man. I am so glad you featured him and especially included some pics of his Christmas decor. I loved the feature Better Homes and Gardens did on his house last Christmas in the December edition. Don’t even get me started on his recent kitchen reno!

Michael’s talent for design and styling is second to none. I’ve been aware of his blog but only recent started to follow closely (what’s wrong with me?). His kitchen remodel is one I’ve studied … I love the custom, movable kitchen island and, of course, that butlers pantry. His placement of his the foyer runner length-wise is brilliant. Thanks for sharing Michael’s home. xo
