Today’s Feature Friday is Jenna, from Involving Home and Involving Color. She has two blogs that are creative and home related and she shares her home tour with us today. Her blog, Involving Color, features lots of paint ideas from all over blogword, so you can definitely see some great paint colors up close in real rooms. Jenna lives in a 1600 s.f. 3 bedroom home and has done a wonderful job making it her own space (along with her hubby). I love when homeowners take a ho-hum house and make it a home.
Warms my decorating heart!
The exterior of Jenna’s home.
Inside the entry.
Living room is bright and airy. Jenna does a lot of DIY projects to save money and add personality to her home on a budget, something we all strive for.
Another view of the living room and entertainment center.
Dining room table all set for dinner and looking pretty.
Console in the dining room.
Their kitchen reno is pretty darn amazing! They did a complete Ikea kitchen renovation on less than $8,500 and all DIY’d! That’s just a little less than my Ikea kitchen reno and so impressive. Isn’t that a great Before and After? You can see the whole Ikea kitchen breakdown on this post.
I love seeing how so many people are using Ikea kitchen cabinets these days and how pretty they can all look.
It really turned out great!
Another of their renovations that really turned out nice is their hall bathroom. They took out the old one piece tub (I have 2 of those!) and replaced with a nice tub and tile surround, as well as new vanity and floors.
It looks so sleek and modern now and completely updated.
White beveled tile in the shower.
Mirror and new vanity.
They love using Ikea (can’t blame them) and reworked an extra closet in the master bedroom as a shoe closet. These storage units from Ikea are the bomb!
Outdoors wasn’t forgotten either, with this beautiful rock patio.
Those hydrangeas sure make me happy looking at them right now with our mostly dreary weather this time of year. Ah, Spring, where are you?
I hope you enjoyed seeing Jenna’s really cute house and all the hard work they have done to make it their own. That’s what it’s all about folks, making the home you have work for you and your family. And doing it on a budget that fits too. Stop over and say hello to Jenna if you can! I met her at Haven last year and she’s a sweet young thing.
I’m also sharing today over at Wayfair, all about organizing ideas! It’s that time of year!
Very nice. Going to visit now. 🙂
Beautiful house! I love the changes they made, and everything looks cute, fresh and pretty! I’m going to go take a look at their site. And yes, I agree, spring can’t get here soon enough. Today, here in Central Illinois, we have single digit temps and below-zero wind chill. Sigh…….
Thanks so much for the feature, Rhoda! Isn’t Ikea great? It was great meeting up at Haven last year and doing the Ballard Challenge. Looking forward to it again this year!
Hi Jenna,
What is the name of your current blog? I can’t find the two listed in the article so was curious if they changed?
HI, Karen it looks like Jenna is no longer blogging, those two blogs aren’t showing up anymore.
L.O.V.E that kitchen!!
That kitchen renovation is gorgeous! My husband and I are spending far more than $8,500 on ours because we’re not DIYing most of it and I hope it turns out half as beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

The Kitchen transformation is amazing! She did a great job. I’m all about making the house you have work for you.
Wonderful home tour….loved it!
WOW…What a transformation in the kitchen! Nothing “Ho hum” about this darling home! Thanks for sharing with us, Jena.
Oh my, I love it all!!! I am especially in awe over their kitchen renovation. Way to go 🙂
Love the white trim and doors. Think I’m going for it. Thanks Rhoda
That bathroom floor is exactly the tile I’m looking for my kitchen Reno. Could you let me know where it’s from?
Hi, Karen, this is a feature I did on this home, so click over to the blog and ask her there. She won’t see this question.
