Today’s Feature Friday is another blogger/designer who I found and loved her style on Instagram.  Kathleen with Lindsay Hill Interiors does beautiful work and her own home is a stunning Craftsman.  Hailing from Utah, she and her husband have bought and and lived in 13 houses.  Some were renovated and some built from scratch, so all of that expertise has honed her self-taught design style, which Kathleen describes on her blog as clean, pretty, fresh, and elegant, with lots of pops of fresh color against a simple neutral background.  She’s the mom to 5 children and 7 grandchildren and stays busy as a home stylist and interior designer for others.  I think you’ll agree, Kathleen is very talented.  I love her choices in this newly built Craftsman style home.
Edited to add: Â Thought her name was Lindsay, but it’s actually Kathleen!
If I was choosing a new home today, Craftsman style would be at the top of my list too. I love the mix of materials and the details on these homes. This one is so pretty with the rocks and natural landscaping in the front yard.
Inside the front door is a pretty slipcovered settee. Â This home tour was from last Fall, so you’ll see touches of Fall on here.
Using a door as a pretty prop.
The living room, open to the kitchen is so welcoming and pretty.  Even though Kathleen uses lots of white, she’s not afraid to add color.
Pretty and classic fireplace with penny tile.
I love all the extra details in this home, like these Craftsman columns and builtins going down the stairs.
Additional simple moldings make all the difference in a home, don’t they?
Side table and accessories looking towards the kitchen.
Love the pop of green bar stools and her greenery accents.
Notice that she painted all her interior doors black, a feature that I did in my own home and love. Black adds a nice grounding factor.
Dining room with a beautiful view.
I adore this piece of furniture and wondering if Kathleen painted it like this.  It is stunning with the gold details, yet looks like  it could be a vintage piece that she found.  This is absolutely gorgeous to me, her dining room buffet.
Green plates on the wall add some color.
Her office and craft space is very nice.
Another vintage piece painted and accented with yellow on the back.
What a lovely way to hide and use wrapping paper.
An organized mudroom.
And a spacious and clean laundry room. Isn’t this nice?!
The master bedroom is also spacious and pretty. Notice the board and batten molding on the headboard wall.
What a gorgeous room, with the sitting alcove nearby.
The master bath is classically done as well, with marble floors and a beautiful tiled shower.
Pretty herringbone pattern on the floor.
And a pretty clawfoot tub to set it all off.
Downstairs, a guestroom is set up for company.
And those 7 grands need a place to sleep.
A reading/play are for the kids is nice to have.
Guest bath with stencils on the wall make this a pretty retreat.
I think you’ll agree that Kathleen has a stunning and well decorated home.  Stop over to Lindsay Hill Interiors to see all she has to share!
Rhoda, Craftsman style houses are some of my favorites too. Lindsay’s home is beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
I loved everything about this home! Thanks for sharing. It inspires me to keep adding touches to m home to make it reflect my style.
I love the pops of color against the more neutral wall colors…and the stencil in the guest bath is my favorite. I keep trying to work up the nerve to add wallpaper to our home-maybe stencils would be a good compromise?
Thank you for generously pointing us, week after week, to other great bloggers, Rhoda!
Lovely home and filled with lovely pieces. She’s given her home room to breathe without overcrowding with accessories. My only complaint; her beautiful wrapping paper is too pretty to hide in behind doors. I’d have the door off that cupboard for ease of use and display.
I love that double bed / twin in the guest room. Does she have a ladder for access that isn’t shown? My grandkids could easily climb up but my older guests aren’t quite as nimble.
Fresh, pretty, yet elegant. And as backdrop for accessories that can change with the seasons, all of that white is so refreshing!
So pretty and fresh! Her craft room is to die for!! Rhoda, hope you have a splendid Valentine’s ???
Thank you, Roxanne, it’s going to be a fun weekend celebrating this year!
thank you so much for sharing this Rhoda! I love every single room…I am going back to pin each picture to my dream home board. Lindsay has definitely made a beautiful home and a HAPPY one too…you can just tell when a house would make you happy to be inside.
My favorite picture was the wallpaper cabinet! I have never seen it just put inside a cabinet and it is brilliant.
Thank you so much, Rhoda for featuring my home on your beautiful blog! I appreciate all your lovely words!
Beautiful home! I love the pops of color against the white background. Makes it easy to change up for different seasons or when taste changes!
