Feature Friday: Making Lemonade

I just love all the bloggers I have the pleasure to meet and Carrie with Making Lemonade is one of them.  She’s a vivacious mom, wife and blogger and has a really pretty blog.  Her tag line is “freshly squeezed ideas for the home and family”, so you know she is a creative mama.

I’ve enjoyed getting to know Carrie the last couple of years and I think you’ll enjoy seeing her home and how she’s put it together for her family.  She has a young son and daughter and decorates with them in mind too.

Welcoming entry and front door.

Inside the foyer with a mirror wall.

In the living room, Carrie added some storage for a mudroom area for her kids.

Lots of bins and baskets keep things tidy.

daughters room

Her daughter’s room with lots of colors, which she said will be changing up soon.

Her son’s room, which they worked on together.

Such a cute space!  It has a train theme if you can’t tell.

Very cute.

In an upstairs hallway, she added a gallery wall and colorful rug.

Their kitchen was redone on a budget, with painted cabinets, new countertops.  I just love white kitchens!

kitchen shelves

Shelving on the walls add more storage and room for pretty things.

kitchen cabinets

Another peek at the kitchen counters.

A lazy Susan holds essentials in the kitchen.

The dining room with thrifted buffet and china cabinet.  Love the pictures hung over it.

She’s collected pieces and painted them the same for a cohesive look.

Cute idea on the back of the chair for holidays.

outdoor seating

Outdoors is a pretty seating area with rug and comfy furniture.  Looks like a great place to lounge!

trellis wall

I love this trellis wall with the buckets of herbs and flowers.

outdoor space

A great place to while away a summer afternoon with a book.  Outdoor spaces are so fun to have functional and pretty!

Hope you enjoyed seeing Carrie’s cute house at Making Lemonade.  If you get a chance, go on over and visit her blog and say hello!
