Feature Friday: Monica Wants It

Happy Friday to you all!  Mark and I are enjoying a few days in Franklin, TN this week, so I’ll share that when we return.  Today I’m back with another fun Feature Friday and another inspiring blogger to share with you.  I’ve known Monica with Monica Wants It for several years now through blogging and she is such a sweet gal. She and her hubby built a new house in Corpus Christi, TX and moved in last year, so she’s been working on decorating it all and has done a wonderful job with it.

If you love color, chinoiserie, glam, floral and girly, you’ll love Monica’s style. She has an all white background, but it’s anything but boring with all the patterns, colors and textures she’s added to their home.  I love that Monica is not afraid of color, but does her own thing to make her house a home.  I’m sharing pics from her home tours, so you’ll see a bit of a mix of seasons, including Christmas.

Coming in the foyer, she has a pretty brass and glass foyer table.

You’ll also notice that Monica painted all her interior doors black (Tricorn Black) and I love that.  I am a big fan of painted interior doors and black against the all white walls really makes a statement.

Her house isn’t huge, but she has an open living room, kitchen and dining area.  That’s her cute dog, PeeWee.

The family room looking towards the open kitchen. I love Monca’s choices in her newly built home.

She’s also thrifty and budget minded and has some great tips for saving money while decorating. I love that we have a fondness for blue and white in common too!

Here’s her chinoiserie Christmas tree in her living room featuring ornaments she made herself in blue and white.  So pretty!

A peek at the kitchen all decorated for Christmas.

Such a clean and open kitchen.

A mix of pics and seasons.

Love this backsplash detail behind the stove.

Peeking towards the dining nook.

Such a cozy space too.

I love black and white and Monica’s choices in here with the chairs are so pretty.

She mixes in lots of color too.

Decorated for Christmas, it’s extra glam.

Moving to her office, she has this space looking pretty.

With a sofa and brass shelves, it’s a nice girly space.

She recently upped the glam factor in her office by painting one wall in black. So dramatic and pretty with her Christmas tree.

Her bedroom has a beautiful tray ceiling painted black as well.

That black and gold wallpaper makes a beautiful statement too.

The master bath is so clean and fresh in all white with brass and chrome accents.

And the master closet looks so nice and organized.

I hope you enjoyed this colorful and glamorous home tour from Monica! I just love how she adds color  all over and it’s such a pretty and eclectic home.  Have a wonderful weekend!

I’ve seen DeAnn’s art around and it’s very pretty. Not exactly my style for our home, but it’s so pretty.

Beautiful home and decor. Enjoyed this post. Monica has done a fantastic job! I wonder if she would share the source for the black and gold wallpaper on the accent wall in the master bedroom?
