Feature Friday: Mrs. Hines Class

I’ve met so many wonderful bloggers online and Sharon is one of them.  Warm, personable, and always encouraging, I’ve enjoyed watching Sharon with Mrs. Hines Class, grow as a blogger and get to know her a bit.  After 17 years in the elementary classroom, her blog is now a virtual classroom where she shares her passion of making a house a home.

She lives in Texas in a beautiful cottage style home that they built new in 2007.  She describes it as a cottage community with sidewalks, which I can just see now. I love those kinds of communities.  Come along on a tour of Sharon’s pretty home.

I love the style of these cottage homes, so pretty.  And I love that builders are making new homes look quaint and cottage-like again.

front door

Pretty and welcoming front door.

The foyer with lot of light coming in and I love those Roman shades.

Coming into the living room with the navy walls, very pretty and classic.

She’s got a mix of leather and fabrics in this space.

Behind the sofa is a piano.  Great way to have it in the room without it being front and center.

The kitchen, which I’m sure is command central.

Bar stools for stitting.

Breakfast space with a round table and chairs.

I can see Sharon loves blue and white, like a lot of us do.

Peeking into the dining room, it looks very warm and inviting too.

Bookshelves in the dining room.

Master bed with some cozy linens.

And a reading chair in shades of creams, blues and browns.

Her daughter’s teen room look cute and girly.

And the teen hangout room is great for watching TV and just….hanging out.

I hope you enjoyed this fun tour of Sharon’s pretty Texas home. She’s done a wonderful job with creating a wonderful cozy space for her family and I know she’d love it if you stopped by Mrs. Hines Class.  Have a great weekend!

Happy Friday!  I’ve just added a new style guide over at Ebay and I added details about the Thanksgiving table, talking about elements used to create an easy centerpiece if you are still looking for Thanksgiving ideas!  Have a great weekend.

Loved seeing more of sweet Sharon’s home! I didn’t realize it, but she and I have matching round tables. Looks like we have both painted them! Her home is certainly an extension of her warm personality!

I just painted that table over the Summer. I’ve had it for years. And thank you for your sweet words. I love my Jane!
