Feature Friday: So Much Better With Age

I’m back today with another fun Feature Friday.  Meet Jamie, the blogger behind So Much Better With Age.  I’ve actually featured Jamie’s house before here on Feature Friday, but a couple of years ago, she went through a divorce and bought her new starting over house where she lives with her 2 children and I love how she’s dubbed it the Sweet Little Bungalow.  She shares her passion for French decor mixed with vintage style and I think she’s created the perfect home for herself, so I hope you enjoy this pretty tour of Jamie’s new home.  It’s an 80’s home that she is still renovating, but here’s where she is so far.  She’s booted the 80’s right out of this house!

Here’s Jamie, so cute!  I admire her tenacity to get busy and build her blog and business as a single mom and she’s doing a great job.

Inside, the house is all neutral with new wood floors and lots of pretty things.  She’s definitely on the neutral side without a lot of color, so those of you who love white walls will love this.

Love that mirror over the pretty white fireplace and light fixture.

Jamie adds color in flowers and a few other details.

She says her living room was a combo living room/dining room, but she decided to move her dining room to what was the family room. You can see her kitchen is open to the main room.

Jamie’s kitchen renovation is my very favorite part of her house. She’s captured the charm and feel so well of a white classic kitchen with wood textured accents.

She has a love for all things French, so you’ll see lots of inflence here.

And I love how open her kitchen is to the back yard with all those windows letting in beautiful light. Those shelves are gorgeous too, as well as all the glossy white subway tile.  Love me some subway tile!

What a great space to decorate for the seasons.

Decorated for Fall, so pretty!

What a pretty kitchen renovation!

Moving on to the dining room, you can see French influence here as well.  It’s so pretty and feminine.

A mudroom renovation keeps thing organized and neat.

And her laundry space went from blah to beautiful.

Jamie’s master bedroom is looking beautiful with the bed and lighting. This was decorated for Christmas.

And that armoire is gorgeous!

She did a major renovation on the master bath with marble-like tile and pretty fixtures.

Beautiful vanity to top it off.

Her powder room got a nice looking makeover with black and white basketweave tile.

And she’s got a renovated office to complete the home tour, all so pretty.

Her kids bath got a renovation too and you just can’t beat classic black and white floor tile.

Such a cute space.

Hope you enjoyed this tour of Jamie’s current bungalow home that she is lovingly renovating and doing a great job of it!  It looks like her personality is shining through in all the details and I’m so proud for her!  Stop by So Much Better With Age and say hello to Jamie!

Congrats to Jamie for revamping her life and home. And a special congrats for doing as a single mom. Single moms are a powerful force! My son in law was raised by a single mom. You might say he was ‘prepped and DIY’ed’ with a good heart by a single mom! 🙂🙂🙂

What a beautiful home with a consistent peaceful vibe throughout. I’ve been in that same floorplan and never thought of using the rooms that way.

I love love love her home! I love color, but also adore the neutral look. I just cringe at the thought of my family in an all white house….I have a husband, son, 2 dogs, and a cat that would make my life so difficult keeping it all looking clean. LOL. I do puffy heart love it though!

Impressed that she did this renovation on her own. I can’t understand, however, the trend of white and beige with no color. How is this a happy place for kids? I’m not saying you need Disney exploding all over the place, but what about something happy?

I loved every detail. I love colour and could see how I could use more white and just use pops of colour. I was a single mom in my mid twenties. I had to leave my house. She is fortunate to have such a lovely place. Thanks for sharing.

I truly don’t get this trend of absolutely no color in a house. Color is like indoor sunshine. You can still be neutral with soothing colors. Well done but very blah in my opinion
