Feature Friday: My Life From Home

Today’s Feature Friday is a fairly new blogger, she’s been at it since 2014 and Amy blogs at My Life From Home.  She’s from Cincinnati, OH and lives in her 80’s fixer upper with her hubby and three kids. They’ve done a lot of renovating already and have more to go.  I just saw that they are now gutting their master bathroom. Seems that so many homeowners are making over older homes and it’s always so fun to see them updated for the new century.  Welcome to Amy!

Even though their home is a fixer upper, I’d say the exterior looks fantastic.  I love the landscaping and curb appeal of this 1980’s home.

The front door is a real focal point and Amy added some pretty chairs, rugs and pillows for extra welcoming.

Note the window boxes and hanging plants too, a great way to add color at the front of the house.

Amy’s style goes hand in hand with what is very trendy at the moment, farmhouse style.  Seems that so many are jumping on this style because it’s so casual and comfortable.

The sliding barn door is part of that farmhouse charm.

Family room with white fireplace and neutral furnishings look very cozy.

Amy painted her kitchen cabinets white, lightening up that space.

I love that little built in banquette, such a fun idea.

She has a nice collection of wooden cutting boards.

Peeking into the dining room.

I spy some Ballard Design shelves, just like in my office.  Love these shelves!

She’s decorated her kids rooms and this is the girl space, so cute!

Happy and cheery fabric.

I bet you know who lives in this room, right?  Grant lives here!  Such a neat boy’s room.

I love those sport hooks and framed letter sweater, perfect in red, white and blue.

And a cute and organized desk space rounds it out.

They’ve also been working on the backyard and what a fun little retreat this is.

I hope you enjoyed this peek into Amy’s home and blog, My Life From Home, so hop on over and visit her and say hi. She’s done a lot of fun project in her 1980’s home and it was great to see it all.

Rhoda, I love what Amy has done to her 1980’s…so refreshed with farmhouse style which is still the going design! The children’s rooms are super cute! Thanks for sharing and Happy Weekend!

Hi, Krisi, sorry about that. I’m not supposed to have pop-ups, but sometimes they sneak through the ad network.
