Today’s Feature Friday is blogger, Aniko who blogs at Place of my Taste.  She shares beautiful DIY and home decor projects, as well as tasty looking recipes and photography tips on her blog.  In fact, she was a Haven speaker this year, teaching her tips on photography to our attendees and was so well received. She knows what she’s doing with the camera!

I love to feature different styles on Feature Friday and Aniko’s is more of a modern and colorful vibe.  I love what she’s done in her home.  This is the entry with organizing system in place.

She recently updated her family room and it’s very cozy with modern and traditional elements.

Her home office looks like a great space to get work done and it looks so organized.  I wish I was this organized, I try but it doesn’t seem to last long.

I love her style! It wouldn’t work for me personally, but I can so see my daughter decorating her (future) home sort of like this.

Love your site, although I have many issues with advertisements popping up as I try to scroll through your site. The site is so slow and it keeps reloading itself.
My husband said it is because you have many advertisers on your site . Any suggestions on how to avoid some of this. I only seem to have this issues with a few of the other blog sites I belong to, and they also have many advertisers .

HI, Mary Anne, sorry about that. I’m not supposed to have popups in my ads. Hate that you have problems, it doesn’t happen on my end, but I can understand it is frustrating. Are you reading on your laptop or iPad or phone? that might be different with each of them too.

I love how she puts this eclectic mix of colors and styles together! Funny, but if I tried to do this I’m afraid it would look more like a flea market! 🙂
    Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing this colorful feature! How refreshing to see something colorful, modern and light on your blog! After awhile, some of the homes all end up looking the same. She’s very skilled of putting it all together for a nice flow.

Rhoda, thanks for always sharing these other blogs to check out. Just want to mention that I’m having the same issues as Mary Anne. For the last few months, visiting your blog makes my iPad wonky — a jillion ads taking up the left two-thirds of the page, new windows opening (from advertisers), snail-paced loading… I don’t suppose there’s anything you can do about it, but I thought you’d want to know.

I’ve read your blog for years now and you feel like a friend. I grew up in Cobb and graduated from Osborne High the same time you were at… was it Sprayberry? Campbell?

HI, Anita, thank you for reading for so long. I don’t know why some have problems and others don’t. I never see it on my Mac. I’m not supposed to have ads that pop up and I’m not sure why it happens sometimes. I know that my ad guy takes care of all of that stuff. Thanks for letting me know. The ads are supposed to stay in the left sidebar and not jump around. If I can figure out anything else to do, I will. Thanks again for ready. Yes, I went to Sprayberry!

Just think– we were probably at basketball games together! I get a kick out of that.

Haha, well if I ever went to basketball games. I don’t think I ever did!

I have recently experienced difficulty with a pop up ad saying I have been selected to win … It is impossible to close it or go forward looking at the blog without responding ok. I have enjoyed your blog for several years but I find this frustrating enough to stop visiting this site. Help!

Mary, can you please take a screen shot of it and send it to me. I’m so sorry, this is not supposed to be happening. If I can send it to my ad guy, maybe he can find out where it’s coming from. Are you on a laptop or phone or what device?

Mary, my ad guy tells me that there have been some worldwide problems with Apple products doing this. He thinks that Apple has fixed it and said when people updated their phones or laptops with the new operating system that it stopped this from happening. Do you happen to be on Apple?
