Feature Friday: Plaids and Poppies

Today’s Feature Friday is another gal I met on Instagram, Tracy from Plaids and Poppies. She’s a wife and mom of grown children and also a grandmother. She totally doesn’t look like a grandmother. Her home is just so pretty and I think you’re going to love it! What caught my eye on Instagram was how colorful her home is and her pics just draw you right in.

Here’s Tracy and see what I mean? She doesn’t look old enough to have grown children and grandkids! She retired from 30 years of doing hair and wanted to start her own blog and share her home decor passion and that’s how Plaid and Poppies got started.

I so loved Tracy’s style of photography and she told me that she takes her pics with her iPhone and edits in Snapseed, but I think I need some pointers on how she gets such great photos. She does a wonderful job as you’ll see below.

Tracy is a fresh addition to the blog world and her colorful home totally makes me smile. Tracy and her family live in Michigan.

What a welcoming front door!

I love her palette of white and all the accents of blue and green. It does look so fresh and these are my favorite color combos.

Gorgeous picture of her family room.

All open concept family room and kitchen.

Take a look at that fresh spring green island. Love that too!

Love the black and white rug and those Roman shades on the windows.

Pretty!

Love this spring green paint on the cabinets.

Dining room

Such a pretty table!

Check out the sunroom, love this space too!

The master bedroom. I love how many windows Tracy’s home has, lets in so much light.

Guest room.

Guest bath.

Tracy’s backyard is just amazing isn’t it? It looks like something out of a movie and wow, what a gorgeous view.

Pool house is so cute!

That’s one of the prettiest backyards I’ve ever seen! Stop by and say hi to Tracy at Plaids and Poppies and also check her out on Instagram.

Beautiful home in Michigan. I love the color. I was just commenting the other day to a friend, I’m tiring of the lack in color in homes. Rhoda, you don’t give yourself enough credit, you take beautiful photos too!

Hi, Vonda, you should go over to her Instagram page and ask her or click over to her blog and ask. I’m sure she would be glad to tell you. She won’t see this question here.
