Feature Friday: Ruby’s Red Dining Room

Even though I painted over my old red dining room, I can still appreciate a beautiful red room and Ruby’s dining room is glowing with charm this time of year.  Perfect Christmas color, after all!

Here’s the outside of Ruby’s beautiful brick traditional home in Kennesaw, GA.  She recently painted the trim in gray/taupe shades and it looks wonderful.  Today, we’re heading inside to the red dining room.

Isn’t it pretty all decked out for Christmas?

Christmas buffet

I took pics in the daytime and night, so you’ll see a difference in these pics, but hope you enjoy.  The buffet is all festooned with ribbons and fruits.

Perfect for displaying a pretty cake stand.

She draped her chandelier with greens too for extra effect.

dining room Christmas table night

Love the tall vases of cranberries on each end of the table.  Isn’t that oh so pretty!

dining room Christmas table set

She got these beautiful white snowflake dishes at Cracker Barrel and I just love them.

She is all ready for a sit down dinner in this beautiful space.

Fruit runner down the middle of the table completes the look.

Those snowflake white plates just make my day.

These would make me smile all during the Holidays.

I hope you enjoyed seeing how some of my special friends celebrate the specialness of this time of year.  Festive, fun, and fabulous Christmas cheer!

I’m linking up to Susan’s Tablescape party too!

Beautiful, beautiful red decor!!! I am partial to red myself when it comes to Christmas decor, and this is displayed so well! I really, really like the way the chandelier is dressed. And don’t EVEN get me started on those plates!!! I don’t think I’ve been inside a Cracker Barrel in years, so I need to peep in there one day! 🙂 The whole classic look is just wonderful! Merry Christmas to you and yours, and have a joyous and safe New Year!

Rhoda, thanks so much for sharing Ruby’s beautiful dining room and gorgeous table setting. The snowflake dinnerware is amazing…love the shape of the plates and the raised snowflake pattern. I also love her sideboard…would so love to dine in this stunningly beautiful room! Merry Christmas to you and your family and to Ruby and her family, too!

Beautiful! I’m considering painting my trim in these colors because this looks so good! Do you happen to know the colors she used? Here is a link to my home.

I would love to purchase 2 complete sets of the snowflake dinnerware. I am having a house built and those snowflake dinnerware sets have already found a permanent home in my heart! I read your article about Cracker Barrel selling them. However, they are no longer offering them. Please tell me the proper name of the set and who makes them please.

Hi, Teresa, this was a feature I did of someone’s home so I don’t have any other information on the dishes.

Do you have any idea how to find these snowflake dishes now? I have been looking for these for years. I can’t find them at Cracker Barrel nor Ebay nor replacements unlimited.

HI, Robin, sorry I don’t. Lots of people have asked about them over the years, but these are in a friend’s home and it’s been years since she bought hers.

HI, Maha, that’s all I know about the dinner plates, they were sold at Cracker Barrel years ago.
