Feature Friday: Sharon Joyce Interiors

Today’s Feature Friday is a new to me blogger, Sharon Joyce Interiors.  Sharon is in the Dallas area and lives in a pretty traditional brick and stone home.  She said the home was built in 2010 and her family moved in there in 2014. After reading blogs for a long time, she decided to jump in and do her thing too.  She’s been blogging just about a year and a half and I think you’ll love what she’s done to her home. She has a wonderful sense of style and I love the classic look she is going for. She has 2 daughters and is having fun making this house over as her own.  I see she’s done the One Room Challenge several times too, so that jump started her rooms a whole lot.

You can find lots more information on Sharon’s blog, so be sure to stop by and visit.

She has a classic sense of style and of course, her beautiful home has great architecture, which doesn’t hurt either.

The kitchen is so very classic and beautiful.

Don’t you love those light fixtures?  I do!

We are both on the same page with painting doors black or dark brown in my case.  I love how it makes them stand out.

A mudroom makeover.

And the laundry room, another One Room Challenge makeover.  Love the stencil on the walls!

Office space is cozy, but bright.

Another recent One Room Challenge is her guest room.  I love that she printed off these bird prints and had them inexpensively framed.  Great impact for low cost!

And the other daughter’s room, Claire, is dark and moody.

And other daughter Paige’s room, is lighter and airier, with color.

Her outdoor spaces are gorgeous too, like this covered terrace.

Adding fresh flowers and some neat things on the serving piece makes a wonderful statement.  Love those lanterns flanking the side piece and that boldly painted mirror.

I hope you enjoyed this newish blogger, Sharon Joyce and go over and say hello!  I loved her style and figured you all would too.

What a lovely, tasteful home. Her kitchen island? Swoon. Perfect, just perfect. I also love the deep, dark blue in her daughter’s bedroom and the perfectly executed stencil in the laundry room. I’m not so sure about the flock of birds hovering over her guests’ heads at night? LOL. Thank you for introducing me to a new blogger, Rhoda and thank you Sharon for bravely opening up your home to us. Your family is lucky to live in that warm, lovely space you have created for them! 🙂

I love that office! It isn’t cold and sparse like some office rooms I see. And I love Paige’s bedroom too. The bed linens and the fabric the curtains are done in are beautiful! The living room is classic and comfortable! Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful home! One of the items that really popped for me is the rug in the kitchen — adds such warmth and color. Just wondering how hard the upkeep would be.

Hi, Jane! It’s really easy to keep clean because the pattern is so busy. We drop food on it all the time! I vacuum with the brush turned off but that’s about it as far as care goes.

Thank you so much for sharing my home with your readers! I didn’t mention it in my earlier email, but I grew up in Marietta and still have family in the area. My mom and older sister now live in Canton (younger sister in Savannah). It’s a small world!

Sharon, your home is beautiful! I searched your blog for your living room rug source and couldn’t find it. Could you tell me where it’s from? I love it!!

Hi, Melanie! I bought the rug several years ago from Overstock. It’s a copy of the Brandon rug from Pottery Barn.

Hi, Sharon, yes it is! So fun that you grew up in Marietta too. Been here since I was 6!

I love to see other people’s homes and different decorating ideas. I have just discovered an online shop called Southern Linens which has some beautiful monogrammed pillows that add such beautiful accents to a home. The personalized linens are so classic and affordable. Just thought your readers might want to know. Love the blog. https://www.etsy.com/shop/SouthernLinen
