I meet so many new and interesting people in blogland and Sherry is a recent blog find from Atlanta, with the blog Design Indulgence. She’s a designer and has done a few renovations on her own house, most recently a bathroom renovation that I thought was worthy of a big shout-out.
Sherry also just had her home photographed for Better Homes and Gardens, so that is a special treat for her too. Can’t wait to see that feature! Sherry’s bathroom went from the above, what looks to be vintage black and white tile.
To a soft grey/taupe on the floor and shower. With accents of turquoise, it’s a soothing small space now.
I love how she added the horizontal planks on the wall. Really gives it a nice touch. And the simple burlap curtain on the window is so pretty. I love this! A small, but elegant space. And a wonderful makeover. Sherry, it’s beautiful and I know you must be very proud of it.
Thanks for letting me share your space with all my readers, I know they will love it too!

I love how flexible this space can be with the neutral tones. Tile can make all of the difference! I am anxiously awaiting the day that we can get rid of the 70’s blue tile in our master bath in favor of something that will last for years without looking dated. Just like this beautiful bath.

I love it…will have to check out her blog. I’m the proud owner of 5 “vintage” bathrooms (4 c. 1964 and 1 c. 1980’s) and I so need ideas on what to do with them. So far we’ve managed some good cosmetic updates, but soon the day will come when a sledgehammer is the only option.

LOVE that shower door!
We had an extremely similar ‘before’ bathroom. Except our tiles were peach, mint AND pink. We also used the same taupey square tiles to do the accent pieces and ceiling in our bath. Here are some pics:

Hi Rhoda,
That’s what I call tiny but terrific. Nice use of tile and white which gives a clean, bright feel to the room.
Hope you have a great weekend!
