I’m just getting to know Heather, from Southern State of Mind, who also lives right here in Atlanta, GA.  She came to Haven last year and is part of our Atlanta bloggers group.  I loved seeing her house tour and wanted to show off her Southern home to all of you and thought you’d enjoy it too. She’s a wife and mom to two little ones and loves decorating and DIY, like so many of us.  Making a house a home is priority for most all women, it seems.

Summer Tour Front Entrance

She’s got the dog ready to welcome everyone into her home. So cute!

Living Room Wide Shot- DIY Ikat Drapes

Heather has a nice mix of colors and textures in her home.  Lots of pretty pillows too.

Living Room Couch Tight

I love this big window used as an accent behind the sofa.

Green Tray

Here’s a peek at the green tray and accessories on the ottoman.

living room big shot2

Love the mix of blues and greens and neutrals in here.

Robins Egg Blue Dresser

Painted cabinet with pretty artwork and lamps.  She shops at the Ballard Outlet here in Atlanta too.  We both love a good deal!

She recently painted that mirror with a Greek key pattern and it turned out just lovely.

big shot kitchen

A peek at the breakfast table and kitchen area.

kitchen Subway after

Lovely white kitchen with black countertops.

blue hydrangea blue mason jar

Pretty hydrangeas on the counter.

carolina coastal tablesape

Fresh flowers and candles on a tablescape.

office in dining room

She turned their dining room into a home office, which more people are doing these days.

home office aqua chairs

Makes a great office.

guest bedroom

The guest room looks so welcoming and inviting.

Nautical bathroom, west elm shower curtain, oar, ladder, navy,

Nautical bathroom with a pretty blue and white shower curtain.

navy white striped walls

Striped walls in her boy’s room is too cute.

red white blue courtyard

Outdoor living spaces look so charming and inviting too.  Of course, that cute doggie helps too!

Courtyard Spruce Up

Love all the colors out here for summer.

driftwood summer mantel

And I think this is an outdoor fireplace which is has so much appeal with the driftwood wreath and lighted lanterns.  What a great place to hang out at night!

I enjoyed touring Heather’s pretty Atlanta home and I hope you did too.  Go over and say hello at Southern State of Mind if you get a chance!

Sunday will be the last Thrifty Treasures party for this year, so be sure and link up if you have something to share.  I went to an estate sale last weekend and found some neat stuff that I’ll be sharing!

What a pretty home! I love how she hung the picture on the old window casing! And she did such a great job extending the color scheme throughout the home!
