Meet Jackie, from Teal and Lime, an energetic DIYer with a modern twist who loves to decorate her home by personalizing and creating new things. She considers her style DIY modern and you’ll see what that means when you get a look at Jackie’s home. Fresh, fun, and lots of energy, that’s Teal and Lime. Those happen to be 2 of my favorite colors too.
Foyer niches hold family canvas art and some contemporary art too.
She uses lot of fun geometric fabrics and prints and does a lot of DIY projects to personalize her space.
This pretty trellis rug in blue and white takes center stage in the living room.
An aerial shot.
Jackie slipcovers chairs, as well as personalizes silhouette art in her dining room. She used a board and batten treatment too, which is so popular now. It sure does make for some architectural interest in a room.
She even DIY’d her dining room lighting. Very cool!
More personalized artwork and monogram in fun colors.
Her kitchen has some gorgeousness in the backsplash.
An eating nook with an eye-catching rug and lamp pendant.
Jackie’s modern Moroccan bedroom is cozy and pretty with a little more subdued colors.
Even her nursery is happy and bright with striped curtains.
No space goes untouched and this craft room has plenty of storage and organization going on and still manages to be pretty.
A studio is so nice and spacious and I love the navy and yellow scheme. Work table, storage drawers and stacked wall shelves make this space super organized.
Jackie personalized this mid-century modern chest and it looks great in the space.
And as she said, this is her happy place. I can certainly see why!
Hope you’ll stop by and visit Jackie at Teal and Lime and enjoy her home and DIY projects!

you know, all of these houses are nice but there is so much repetition that I just get tired looking for something NEW and INTERSTING…same old stuff, but I’m sure it’s an ego boost for those ladies who did so much work. but it’s getting boring—what is NEW???
Brigitte says
Hey!
Why don’t you bring in the “NEW”?? Let us see what you do? My moto, if you have nothing nice and constructive to say, better say nothing at all! Have a nice day! 🙂
Rhoda says
Yep, Gilda as someone else said, it’s really not nice to criticize someone’s home. Maybe you don’t like all that is out there now, but we all put a lot of love and energy into making our homes our own.

Hi Rhoda! At first I thought I was at the wrong place! You’ve got a new blog design. I really like it. Jackie’s got a beautiful home. She’s really put her personality and stamp on it. She mixes patterns really well. Her home is colorful, happy and lively.

Rhoda – not loving the new blog design.
Rhoda says
Well, Julia, you and a few others! I happen to love it, so it will be staying. I know some don’t like change, but I felt it was time to freshen things up around here.
Marie Claire says
Rhoda, I think that you may be making a mistake in how you’re approaching the criticism. You are a professional blogger, and the blog has a brand, a look, and a vibe. Anytime a CEO updates a marketing of their product, it has to be done carefully. It’s tested, and tweaked based on feedback. You’re getting enough negative reaction to the look of the header, that you might want to listen a little less personally and dismissively.
Julia G. says
It not the blog, it’s the ads. Right under your daily topic heading is an ad – and it distracts from the blog. I realize ads are what pays you, it just distracts me, and most likely others. I will continue to read your blog and get great ideas from your feature articles and you will remain a kindred friend 🙂
