Feature Friday: Ten June

Meet Michelle, from Ten June, another inspiring blogger from North Georgia.  We haven’t met yet, but perhaps one day we will.  Michelle has only been blogging one year, but she is getting around in the blogosphere and I’ve seen her all over the web.

No wonder, she and her hubby are renovating a pretty and classic 1952 ranch home that they just bought a year ago.  They have already done a lot of renovations and painting and it’s a beauty of a house.  I could totally live in a house like this!

The house is loaded with great architectural features already.  I love, love a house with a lot of light coming through.  That is a must-have for me.    What a yummy yellow lattice rug that is!  Reminds me of the fabric I had in my old kitchen.

Like this wall of windows already outfitted with plantation shutters.  Swoon!

They were lucky that the kitchen had already been rehabbed by the previous owners.  Now, it’s a classic white beauty with granite countertops.

Sweet breakfast room with yes, even more floor to ceiling windows.  This is definitely my kind of home.

The dining room gets moody in blue.  I love these young homemakers and how talented they are.

Michelle did her own version of the ever-popular in blogland, sunburst mirror.  Am I the ONLY blogger who has not done a sunburst??  I like them, but don’t have a spot for one, so I haven’t bothered making one.

Master bedroom is cool and serene.

This striped office space is so light and airy, a perfect spot for working.

One of the guest rooms.  I’m loving all the hardwoods too.  Michelle, what a great house you have.

There’s even a screened porch overlooking that blue water pool in the backyard.  What a summertime oasis that is.

Michelle’s hubby even tackled this retaining wall beside the pool.

Lovely home, Michelle!  I’d definitely say you got a diamond in the rough.  It’s classic architecture at it’s best.  I would love to have a mid-century house like this one.  Ranch living sounds pretty good to me, especially with all those windows.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please go over and say hello to Michelle and take a tour of her entire home.

The lucky winner of the Nashville Wraps basket is #118, Teresa. I’ve already emailed Teresa in case you think it might be YOU, so just get back to me with your mailing address.

Great feature! I will check this blog out right away. Love the sunny rug and might need to pick one up. When I saw the outside I had to blink a few times-this is my house! We’re in the midst of a large reno and it is nice to see the place put back together. It’s a bit grim at my place right now.

Love the house. It could easily have started out looking exactly as my childhood home. Mother could no longer live in the house alone, so she is in assisted living and the house was sold to a couple to flip it. I would love to see the changes and hopes it looks as beautiful as this one. I am sure that Michelle and her hubby put lots of love into the house to make it their home. I also wonder about the family who might have lived in it for the 60 yrs as did my parents. The memories, the children playing and the holidays celebrated. A house holds so much more than its decor.

Beautiful home! I’m with you, I love all the light they have coming in, too. Those hardwoods are gorgeous as are the colors they have chosen to use throughout the house. Thanks for sharing!
