Feature Friday: The Shabby Nest

I  met my blog friend, Wendy, with The Shabby Nest early on in my blogging journey, so I know she’s been blogging quite awhile too.  Wendy is a mom to four and lives in Utah with her family and is also lover of interior design and making a beautiful home.  That’s why we all get along so well in this blogging world, so many of us love making our houses a real home and nesting to the max. I got to meet Wendy earlier this year at SNAP and she is a sweetheart.

Wendy has a great style and I can’t wait to show you her house today.  Enjoy!

Wendy has a fresh and comfortable vintage style with a modern edge and I love what she’s done with her living room.

She loves to shop thrifty too, just like a lot of us do.

Her pretty white shabby chic bedroom.

Boys Stripe Wall

And with 4 kids, we designs a lot of children’s rooms, like this one for her boys.  That’s a cute deer head on reclaimed wood.

Boys' Stripe Bedroom

And bunk beds to house them.

Girl's Bedroom window seat

Her daughter’s room is frilly and girly and fun.

Girl's Bedroom

Love that upholstered headboard and fresh spring greens.

kids' bathroom artwork

This bathroom is shared by her kids, I think.  Bold chevron shower curtain and some board and batten, great way to add some style and architectural interest.

Lovely space!

Laundry room

She didn’t stop there either and updated her laundry room with a fresh stencil and this one I love.

With the addition of a chalk board, it’s a functional and fun space.

Hope you enjoyed seeing Wendy’s house, at The Shabby Nest and I’d love for you to stop over and say hello.  Happy Friday!

I love the Shabby Nest, I have been a follower of hers for a while. Her home is beautiful, I love all the little touches and the bedroom is so relaxing.

Four boys, there is a lot of running around for her I am sure.

My name is Wendy too! And my home is a masterwork of inferior decorating. No that is not a typo, I am really home dec/design-challenged, but I am currently in a 12-step program. One of the first steps is admitting there is a problem, though, and I readily admit that my talents in this area are pathetic. Hence, my devotion to reading blogs like this one.
I love Wendy’s home. Would love to see more!
