Happy Friday friends! Two weeks down on the master bathroom renovation and we may have 2 weeks left. It’s a long process to go from completely gutted to a final and finished bathroom, but we are hanging in there til the end. I’ll share a progress post with you on Monday!
Today’s Feature Friday is a repeat since I shared her old house, but Janette with The Two Seasons blog moved into a new/old townhouse in the last couple of years. She blogs with her daughter, Jordan and they are a mother/daughter duo. Today I’m highlighting her new home that she moved into a couple years ago. She calls it a townhouse, but it sure looks like a grand house to me.
I love a stately Colonial brick home and this one has so much character.
From the brick sidewalk to the front door, so charming and welcoming.
Inside, Janette has been very busy with a renovation and they took down walls and changed a lot of things about the house to make it their own, so enjoy the tour. This is the Before obviously. Great bones to work with! They took down that wall on the right and moved the kitchen to the left wall and opened up the wall to a big family room.
And here it is after the wall was taken down. I love to see real life renovations with great ideas on improving a space for the better and I think she made the right choice.
A brand new kitchen was born and the family room adjoins.
She was able to make a walk in pantry too. That’s something I wish I had.
She stenciled that back wall which really makes it cute in there.
Looking to the family room.
Feels very cozy and welcoming.
Janette has a nice mix of antiques and collected items from her many travels. She and her hubby are avid bicycle enthusiasts and travel all over the world riding their bikes.
That’s a framed TV over the fireplace and it looks so nice.
A mudroom comes in off the porch area which is all brick.
Such a charming porch. Janette just did a blog post asking her readers if she should paint her brick walls in here. I was trying to decide what I’d do. I love old brick, but I think white painted brick would sure brighten it up, that’s what she’s looking to do. I think I’d leave the brick floors as is though. I do love painted brick too! Go over and chime in if you want to vote. I’m sure she would love all opinions.
Back inside, she had built ins added by the fireplace in the dining room.
Guest room.
Powder room in blue and white with red accent rug. So cute!
Nursery for their granddaughter.
And a whole Dorm room as she calls it for her future grandchildren to enjoy. How cute are these beds?
One bathroom.
And another.
The top floor has another bedroom too for extra sleeping room.
What a great townhouse tour that was. I hope you enjoyed seeing Janette’s new townhouse that was renovated just for them to enjoy. It’s beautiful and so classic! Stop by The Two Seasons and meet Janette and her daughter, Jordan. They blog together on their blog.

Love the brick color and texture on the porch. I would paint the foyer and the wall with octagon window. So charming.

Kathy, this is Janette. Thank you so much for those kind words.
Jodie, someone else made a similar suggestion. We will definitely consider that as an option.

Colonial houses are my favorite! The bathroom with doors on the sink cabinet reminds me of the Swan House in Atlanta. This entire house is absolutely beautiful.

Thank you, Tee.

My first reaction when I saw the picture of the exterior of this house was to think that’s My Old Kentucky Home in Bardstown Kentucky. After reading I saw that it isn’t. Very pretty home.
