Feature Friday: Thistlewood Farms Gatehouse

You probably have all heard about and read my friend, KariAnne’s blog, Thistlewood Farms, I’ve featured her on my Feature Friday before, but I wanted to show you the cutest gatehouse ever.  She lives in Kentucky out in the country in a really old farmhouse and that house has a gatehouse on the property that Kari has fixed up the last couple of years.

And wow, is it cute!  Take a look at all the creativity in Kari’s big imagination and see how colorful it is.  This is where she lets her color loving self loose, in the gatehouse.

She spruced up the exterior and painted the foundation gray and check out the gray and white “runner” on the steps.  So cute!

Such a welcoming entrance to a little house like this.

It has a kitchen too and Kari uses this gatehouse as the office for her blog, for photoshoots and for overall creating.  She’s made it so cute and colorful, so enjoy the tour!

Love this striped wall with words in the kitchen.

Plates have their own place too.

And how about this crafting area, perfect for kids too, with labeled bins holding all sorts of fun things.

Kari’s creative self is definitely expressed in this little house, since her main house is a lot of neutrals.

A wrapping station on a peg board holds all the essentials.

A chalkboard wall on one end of this room holds a TV and some pretty black and white chevron chairs.

Office Thistlewood

I love her new office space with a pretty white desk and soft furry rug.

That colorful coral feature wall is pretty awesome too.

Hope you enjoyed seeing the colorful version of Thistlewood Farms gatehouse. It is such a cute space, I wanted to share it with all of you! If you don’t know Kari, you must go over and meet her. She’s a storyteller extraordinaire and a very fun friend.

I’m sorry Dana@queenofmy castle3 , I’m already packed and ready to leave. Perhaps we could share the space or take alternate weeks. The gatehouse is adorable and KariAnne’s personality shines through.

I remember when she did the initial reveal and then anxiously awaited the reveal for all the additional spaces. Most of us would be lucky to have been born with a tenth of her decorating/styling/creativity/story-telling genes — she is one talented lady for sure!

The coral wall….is that just picture frames mounted and painted the same color?

Patti, I think it is some sort of molding, not sure it’s picture frames, but something similar and painted.
