Feature Friday: With Heart

I’m still totally amazed some days at how much talent is out there in blogland.  It’s never ending apparently and today I’m introducing another blogger that I’ve just come across, Jennifer from With Heart.  She lives in Utah, is a wife and mom to a cute little girl named Ruby and she is a wonderful designer too.  She’s transformed her home with her own unique style and DIY projects, making it totally her own.   I love the tag line on her About Me:

I believe every home should tell a story– the story of its inhabitants. Forget the catalog. Add in the sentimental, mix in some quirk, and top it off with a little whimsy. With a little elbow grease and love, you can make your house so you.

I couldn’t agree more and it’s so inspiring to see how everyone interprets their own story.  I think you’ll enjoy seeing Jennifer’s beautiful pics and home.  In fact, it looks like a magazine spread, so enjoy it all!  Jennifer shares all the Before and After photos on her Home Tour, so check that out for more details. Her home did not look like this when she moved in!

entry2

Entry with white table and those cute orange stools just make the space.

living room

Living room with beautiful array of fabrics and textures.  Love that big picture window.

living room2

Above view of the living room.  Beautiful space.

living room3

Marble coffee table and pillows.

family room

Part of the family room furniture.  Love that pillow fabric.

office3

Office space that looks so organized.

office4

Bookshelves and striped drapes.

office2

Striped drapes.

office

office5

Lovely styled bookshelves.

kitchen2

Completely renovated white kitchen is just gorgeous.  Of course, I love that subway tile.

kitchen3

Looks so clean and inviting.

kitchen1

Cute island with black stools and I love those rugs too.

bedroom-2

Master bedroom is dreamy and welcoming.  Love the board and batten feature wall behind the bed.  That makes such a huge difference, those architectural details.

bedroom-10

Other side of master bedroom.

bed-5

Nightstand details.

bedroom-3

Such a pretty and calming space.

master bath2

Jen has just shared her master bathroom renovation on the blog this week and wow, is it a beauty.

master bath

She shares how she made that faux Roman shade, which I just love.  Adds such a nice pop of color to the window.

master bath3

I love the tile work above the vanity and how they added the 2 round mirrors on top.  Very unique and pretty, instead of one big mirror like you normally see.

master bath4

Beautiful tub and glass shower enclosure and check out that stunning hex marble tile.  Be still my heart!

guest room2

Guest room is picture perfect and ready for guests.

guest room1

Simple accessories and drapes.

guest room 3

A leaning mirror adds brightness and enlarges the room.

nursery-2-copy

Jen and her new baby in the nursery, soothing in shades of mint and coral.  So sweet!

nursery-4-copy

Love this nursery.

nursery-5-copy

playroom-3-copy

And here’s Ruby now, growing up and enjoying her playroom.

teepee-copy

Complete with a teepee.  How cute is that?

Ruby's bath4

Ruby’s bathroom is colorful, just right for a little girl.

Ruby's bath2

Love those cute hooks and towels.

Ruby's bath3

Stepstool for little feet to brush their teeth.

deck-2

And wait til you see this outdoor deck space.  It’s wowzers!

hanging-planter-5

Hanging plants, love this idea!  That would be simple to make.

lantern-1

Hanging lanterns create a wonderful outdoor table area.

table-1

Beautfiul tablescape and all the accessories for a wonderful party.

night-11

Night time shot of the deck.  How inviting is this?  Ahhhh, what a great place to relax and entertain.

Hope you enjoyed Jen’s home tour, I know I was oohing and ahhing all the way through the pics.  She’s a wonderful designer and has great creative abilities for sure.

Don’t forget, June Thrifty Treasures will be up and going on Sunday afternoon, so stop by and add your links!

Oh was a beautiful home! And I’m in love with the master bath – that vanity and dual oval mirrors are so lovely. It gives me ideas for my master bath reno.

WHY oh WHY doesn’t she put the little white plastic poppers in the holes in the office shelves?????? Those hundreds of holes cheapens the whole look of her otherwise beautiful home:(

Well, Susanne, I have to confess I didn’t cover the holes in my bookshelves yet either and I don’t think it’s that bad. Why point out one thing that you don’t like when there are countless things to love in Jen’s home??

The devil is in the details they always say, but honestly I did not notice!

She has great taste and style, it is very much a home that a young couple would inhabit. It has that feeling and all the white is crisp and pretty and RHODA I know how you love a white kitchen. I thought it was very pretty, clean and crisp, it would not be my choice as I am just not into white kitchens anymore, but I can certainly appreciate a beautiful one when I see it and this is a beautiful home. My favorite part of the home has got to be what she has done with the porch. Loved it, just so inviting, colorful and welcoming! Great job!!!
