Feature Friday: Worthing Court

This is a brand new Feature Friday with a blogger I’ve shared before. She has moved to a new house since that long ago feature, so here’s the new house with all new pictures.

It’s not often that I can say on a Feature Friday post that I’ve actually stayed in that house, but this week I can. Meet Suzy, from Worthing Court, a sweet blogger in NC and I’ve enjoyed getting to know her through blogging.  I had the pleasure of staying with her and her hubby (not once but twice) when I went up to the High Point market a few years ago and I really enjoyed it. She made me feel very welcome in her home and she has put together a very nice and cozy home for her family. It’s a big place with lots of rooms to decorate and Suzy has them all looking pretty. Be sure and visit her blog for lots of great ideas!

Suzy has a great eye for decorating and has done a lot of great transformations in her current house, taking it from dated traditional to a fresh farmhouse look. I love her Cape Cod home and all they have done in their house. You might recognize some of these pictures since Suzy and I are in a blog hop together once a week called Style Showcase on Tuesdays.

They painted the exterior in a pretty gray color and added panes in the windows. It’s such an inviting home.

I really like how Suzy has updated so much of her traditional furniture by painting it and mixing stained and painted for a fresh look.

They’ve added board and batten and some of those details as well.

Her relaxed farmhouse style is just so welcoming and cozy.

Home office. Suzy painted the base of her desk and left the top stained wood and it’s a great look.

I love this bookcase with the sliding door.

The family room has gotten a fresh update with lighter furnishings and a painted fireplace.

She painted the honey oak entertainment center and that really brightened up the room.

Her kitchen was a complete gut job and turned out so pretty. Love all those details and I’m sure Suzy is so happy she got the kitchen she wanted.

I love her backsplash and hood and all the pretty details.

The breakfast area is so pretty with that bank of windows letting in so much light.

It’s a beautiful space with the farmhouse table and sideboard with shelves above.

Suzy has one of my favorite screened porches and it’s so cozy, colorful and perfect for summer.

Laundry room

The dining room got a similar paint treatment as the office desk with dark gray paint and she left the top of the table natural. It’s a great way to update perfectly good pieces of furniture to give them a fresh look.

The guest room got a refresh too and is so pretty.

They added board and batten in the upstairs hallway, so light and bright.

Master bedroom with large bay window.

Master bathroom, I think Suzy is still working on this area but almost finished.

I hope you enjoyed Suzy’s home tour, she’s done a beautiful job with this 90’s house, updating it for the new century in a fresh and modern farmhouse style.

Suzy’s home is so lovely. I love Feature Friday where we get to see how other people live. You can tell how much she loves and cares for her home, and those drapes and table skirt wow what talent.

I look at her blog a good bit and I love her style. I think this may be the first time I’ve ever seen a picture of the outside of the house though. It is as lovely outside as inside.

Thank you and Suzy for the tour of her beautiful home. Ì am living vicariously through you with this wonderful job you have! Always fun to see how folks have decorated their homes and I see ideas that I had thought of doing with my home…but sometimes held back. I am learning to let go and listen to my instincts.
I am really enjoying your blogs!!!
