Feature Friday: Z Design at Home

I’m back today with another new blogger I met on Instagram, Bree, with Z Designs.  She is originally from Alabama (yay fellow Southern girl), but now lives in Texas with her family. They built a new house a few years ago, custom built and gorgeous, so enjoy this tour of Bree’s home. She has that modern, elegant design that is so soothing and pretty to look at.  And I get to meet Bree at Haven this weekend, so excited to meet these girls in person!

Bree spent years in the corporate world (in sales and management) and decide to pursue her passion of interior design and her blog showcases her own home and she shares tips and tricks on how to do things on a budget as well.  She is a bargain hunter at heart, but knows when to splurge on important pieces.

Bree says her style is transitional modern and I can see that is a good fit.

transitional-summer-living-room-3This sectional sofa in her living room is just beautiful and I see a pop of the same Chiang Mai Dragon fabric that I have in my living room, a so popular pattern that we all love.

There it is now in the chair.  Love that fabric.  Bree has a casual mix of patterns an textures and it’s very appealing.

I love her chunky accessories and the mix of woods and shiny things.

Modern art and that brass toned lamp is so pretty.  Have you noticed that gold is back in a big way in design? I’m loving the way it has been reinvented and still have some in my house too.

They added a set of sliding barn doors in their space and it is just stunning.

I love this shot of that cute table and chairs, with the rustic wood tones and that white kitchen. I will always be partial to a white kitchen!  Oh, and that chandelier is just gorgeous!

Such an elegant kitchen it is.

The master bedroom is soothing in neutrals, but those patterned pillows add a lot of punch.

The master bath is equally elegant and classic, with marble tiles on the wall.

I love the mix of textures and colors in this space too and Bree has done a wonderful job with it all.

I adore that mirror, it adds such a nice texture with all the marble and white cabinets.

A soaking tub looks so inviting.

The guest room has a punch of color in navy and aqua and I love the mix!

A covered porch is a great place for table and chairs for outdoor dining.  Eating outdoors is one of the highlights of summer for me.

What a gorgeous table that Bree sets!

Hi Kathy! I found it locally but I have some linked on my blog that are almost identical under the Shopping Resouces page and then under the Outdoor tab. I don’t remember from where or I’d just tell you here but if you have a chance to head over you can find them there. Thanks and I hope that helps:)

A beautiful home! The bare wood and antlers add a touch of warmth and “home” to a modern space. The neutral furniture and finishes allow a quick and easy change of accent colors. Well done, Bree.
Thank you for introducing us, Rhoda.

I’m not sure what’s going on but I can’t read your blog anymore. Everything is in a single, 2-inch column on the right. I was able to read your Z Design post but as soon as I selected comments to tell you how happy I was to get to read your blog again, it converted back to the 2-inch column. I’m pretty sure it isn’t me since I am not having trouble with any of the other blogs I follow.

HI, Vicki, I know several are still having problems. Do you run an ad blocker? I have addressed this problem on the blog several times over the last couple of months. I have an ad plugin in my sidebar that I need to use. Apparently an update of it caused those with ad blockers to see my blog with a skinny column and small pics. When they disabled the ad blocker most of the time it went back to normal. I’m sorry for the issues, but it’s the ad blocker being incompatible with my ad plugin on Chrome and Firefox. hopefully that will help you resolve it.

Ah ha! That was the problem. I rarely have problems with the Ad Blocker so I didn’t think of it. Happy that I can ready your blog again.

Have followed your blog for years. Love it!!
For some reason the last month or maybe longer, your pics and words load to really small on the left side of my screen. I didn’t change computers, browsers, or anything.
Now the pics are too small. So too bad for me.
    Miss seeing your posts.
Hopefully one day it will correct. Love your blog 🙂

Hi, Melissa, you will need to go to Bree’s blog and ask her there, she won’t see this question.
