With spring on most of our minds, I can’t help but think of flowers and beautiful arrangements this time of year.  Incorporating fresh flowers in decor is something that I do more often than I used to, even if it’s just grocery store flowers.

Southern Lady magazine is always fun to browse and they never disappoint when they publish books. I was recently sent Flowers with Southern Lady to browse, which gives inspiration and how-to’s for year-round entertaining.  This book is chock full of beautiful floral arrangements and lots of tips on how to achieve some of these looks at home.

Whether you have a wedding on the horizon or just want to hone your flower arranging skills for those upcoming parties and events at your own home, Flowers is a wonderful source and a beautifully illustrated coffee table book.

And I have 2 copies to give away too for my readers!

I love fresh flowers and I’m so lucky because my hubby gives them to me several times a year. But I like to supplement randomly with a fresh arrangement, especially after a deep house cleaning!

I don’t have any special occasions. I just like to have some flowers in the house! Maybe this book will show me some new ways to display that $5 bundle of flowers from Kroger! Thanks for the chance to win!

I used to get Southern Lady Magazine and loved each and every page, was jealous of the long growing season and the planting zone that I could never achieve up north!

I don’t have any “special” events planned in the near future. But both my husband and I love to have fresh flowers in our home.

I’m hosting an old-fashioned Afternoon Tea for the ladies in our neighborhood. An old-fashioned get together so that neighbors can meet neighbors. I have long struggled with flower arrangements since it seems that no matter how hard I try, my flower arrangements always look like I grabbed up a bunch of flowers and stuck them in a vase. I need some help! I’ve always wanted a source to learn HOW to put an arrangement together, complete with the mechanics that make the flowers stay in place. Southern Lady is always such an inspiration for beautiful table settings and I would love to learn to make mine prettier.

We have a beach family reunion coming up in May and have rented a house at the beach. Would love some ideas on brightening up the common areas with fresh flowers. My mom was a florist but I never acquired the knack and can use all the help I can get! Thanks for the opportunity, Rhoda!

LOVE Southern Lady magazine and would enjoy a copy of the book showing floral arrangements. Amazing what you can do with flowers from the grocery store to make a room feel special “just because”.

While on vacation in savannah last week, we visited a store called Paris. We had a cup of coffee and cookies in their cafe. I loved the silver vases on the tables and found them in the lower level. My husband bought a vase for me and now I keep fresh flowers on our end table between our chairs in the family room. I would love to win this book. Thanks for the chance.

I have a rehearsal dinner for our sons wedding coming, and a shower for a friends wedding. I also like to have fresh flowers weekly, and whenever I have guests. I rarely enter contests, but this one looks so great! Thanks.

Next week, Wednesday night dinner group. I just pulled my Southern Lady issue for May/June 2013 to use the recipes from the article Luncheon in the Garden. We love the Limoncello Spritzer. Will arrange flowers from my garden.
