With spring on most of our minds, I can’t help but think of flowers and beautiful arrangements this time of year.  Incorporating fresh flowers in decor is something that I do more often than I used to, even if it’s just grocery store flowers.

Southern Lady magazine is always fun to browse and they never disappoint when they publish books. I was recently sent Flowers with Southern Lady to browse, which gives inspiration and how-to’s for year-round entertaining.  This book is chock full of beautiful floral arrangements and lots of tips on how to achieve some of these looks at home.

Whether you have a wedding on the horizon or just want to hone your flower arranging skills for those upcoming parties and events at your own home, Flowers is a wonderful source and a beautifully illustrated coffee table book.

And I have 2 copies to give away too for my readers!

    Hi Rhoda,

Just wanted to let you know that the “fix” you tried to correct the Feedburner problem did not work. It’s so sad to scroll through my emails and find not one blog! I’m so bored! haha! Actually, I have more time for chores, but sure miss “my” time perusing my favorite blogs. Hopefully, the issue will be solved soon.

Hi, Rhonda, yes I keep hearing from more and more people that still aren’t getting emails and I really don’t know what else to do at this point. The only other suggestion is to set up a Reader and subscribe to blogs that way. Like Digg or Bloglovin.

I love fresh flowers and my wonderful husband buys me a fresh bundle every couple of weeks. I enjoy arranging them and would love some fresh ideas! We have prom and graduation coming up and I will most definitely have fresh flowers around the house.

Mother’s Day! Our mothers and grandmothers have all gone to be with the Lord so for me Mother’s Day is a chance to express how much I LOVE being a mother. I cook something yummy and we enjoy a family lunch at home after church. I love that so much more than going out!

Sounds like something I could really need help with. I need to buy pre-arranged as I can never figure out how to get things to stay and look good.

I always like some type of fresh flowers, even if it’s greenery. Next will be Fathers Day!

I have a Graduation party for my two boys – one with his Master’s Degree and one from high school. Would love to be able to arrange flowers easily for that and many other occasions, including every day!

Always love, love fresh flowers! I work in the President’s office of a local college and would love to impress my boss with some ideas for VIP events. I have a new home with a dreamy Southern porch that calls for some flowers and wreaths for the 4th of July when I’m having out-of-town guests! I will have a red door by then (it’s a fixer).

Love the inspiration in this book – for my events, I’m always focused on horse racing’s “Triple Crown” season – the Kentucky Derby features “the run for the roses”, the Preakness Stakes is all about black-eyed Susans (out of season in mid-May so they actually paint the centers of yellow daisies black!), and the flower for the Belmont Stakes is the white carnation – easy to create decorations using each of these flowers!
