It hasn’t been a big eventful week for sharing, but I’ve got a few things today. I caught a cold and have been getting over that this week, but I’m well on the mend now. I hope you’re ready for a fun weekend. We don’t have anything big planned, just hanging out at home.
Instagram Inspiration
This bathroom caught my eye from Woodchip & Magnolia, a wallpaper company in the UK. I love this mix of wallpaper, paint and tile. Mark and I ordered a brick wallpaper from them that we’re putting in our master bedroom soon, so of course I’ll share that when we finish. But this bathroom, it’s so cute and retro! We have one more bathroom to renovate upstairs and we’re planning to do a tile wall similar to this as the wainscot. We’ve picked out wallpaper, but no tile yet. It will be a next year project.
Whitney Sturge Interiors has a beautiful eye for color in this room, so pretty and elegant and that painted little built in blue space behind is so interesting.
Recipes
Street tacos using skirt steak in the crockpot sounds like a yummy meal from The Spoiled Home. That link is a video so you can see the steps she took and the recipe.
This final ode to summer salad looks so delicious from Host to Perfection. With honeydew and cantaloupe, it sounds so good with all these ingredients.

I got influenced this week by an ad from HSN and bought these beautiful pagoda candle holders. They called my name and I couldn’t resist them. I’ll let you know how I use them. I tried using their $20 coupon for new signups, but it didn’t work for me even though I created a new account. I do have a Capital One shopping app and it gave me a $10 coupon to use and put it in, but when I checked out, it didn’t seem to work, so I started a chat with HSN and they applied the coupon for me. Just FYI if you try using a coupon. I did at least get $10 off list price.
Miss Daisy had to get a new harness to keep her from escaping the black fence in the backyard. Our little escape artist got out once after attempting to get out several times, so now we are deterring that behavior with this harness. It’s pretty genius if you ask me. I know a wooden spoon also works, I’ve seen that used and attached through their harness, but this does the trick too and you can get it on Amazon. If you have an escape artist too, this does the trick and she’s used to it now, it doesn’t stop her from getting around and doing what she wants.
I got in this trash can for the back patio and like it just fine for the money. It’s heavy duty plastic and works well for holding a trash bag, plus it has a little lock on the top that keeps the door on top from moving if you want it to. It can get wet and stay out in the rain too.
I was also looking for a smaller storage box that would fit behind our sofa on the patio and found this one that works perfectly for what I need. It’s not too expensive and I’ll use it to hold the storage covers for our table and chairs out there so I don’t have to haul them in and out of the basement, plus misc. pool items back there. We’ve been covering our furniture a lot the last month with all the rain showers we are having. This one fits a smaller space for a few outdoor items if you have the need.
I also got in this set of bamboo flatware that I think I’ve shared before, but I really love it. I’ll be sharing it soon on my fall table. I think it’s so pretty in person and you know my love of bamboo.
What We’re Watching/Reading
I don’t have a lot to share this week on movies or TV shows. We’ve been jumping around a lot and nothing note worthy to share this week. Hope you all have a great weekend!
