Friday Favorites 35

I’m heading to Covington. LA with my sister today for a 10 day stay and we are going to be doing some projects, decorating, and having fun in their new house. She waited for me to come down before she hung any pics or finished adding accessories, so I’m looking forward to being in the new house and drinking coffee on the porch. Fun times!

I’m back today with another Friday Favorites, so I hope you enjoy.

Instagram Inspiration

Loving this room from J Layton Interiors. Isn’t this gorgeous?

And this covered porch, wow!

Recipes

I am going to try this London Broil recipe from Rhonda Jones! She makes it look so easy and the secret is marinading before you freeze the meat. Then it’s ready to grill when you pull it out and thaw. Looks delicious!

I love one pan meals and this one from Hungry Happens looks so good and delicious. Pan Roasted Greek Chicken Salad, delicious and healthy. Yum, I love these kinds of dishes.

Around the House

Affiliate links used below.

Today is the last day to order Sara’s Simply Southern Cottage rugs from Amazon for 20% off (built in the price through today), so take a look at her pretty rugs and see what you think. I’m excited for her collaboration. The rugs are very pretty.

I spotted this pretty cane cabinet on Amazon too. It’s very reasonable and would fit in so many spaces.

This dough bowl from Creative Co-op is really a good price. I have enjoyed my dough bowl even though it’s not an antique, it’s fun to use throughout the seasons.

What We’re Watching/Reading

We’ve hardly watched that much TV since going to the beach and coming home. A few 20/20 mystery shows along the way. I’m still reading on a John Grisham book (it takes me awhile these days), but that’s about it for this week.

How exciting to help decorate. My husband and I just bought a winter townhouse on John’s Island, SC. I’m anxious to decorate in a coastal theme however my husband (who has never took an interest in my decor) has said he wants some MN elements.

Sara’s rugs are so pretty and I love the names so much. Makes me homesick for sure. We built a bathroom in the basement and now I need a 6ft runner. Not too many of those, who knew they are 99% 8ft or longer?
Have lots of fun in Beautiful Covington.

There are a lot of 6 ft runners on Amazon. Lots of different styles and colors.

Nancy, some rug stores will also sell runners by the foot and bind them for you so you can get any size you need. I’ve done that and it has worked well!

Have a wonderful time with your sister! Cannot wait to see what you two get up too.
