It’s another Friday Favorites for the week and I’ve got a fun lineup for you today. I try to pull together things you will enjoy and be inspired by, so thanks for stopping by. I’ve been with my sister all week and we have had a lot of fun choosing materials for their new house (hardwood flooring, tile, countertops, vanities etc). I’m so glad I was able to go down and be with her through the process, as choosing can be overwhelming. I’ve got a post going up this weekend with all the updates on their new build on the lake. It’s going to be spectacular when they get in there!
Feature Friday
Here’s a fun farmhouse tour I shared a few years ago, Lauren with Little White House in AL. It’s an authentic farmhouse with all the charm you would imagine.
Check out the whole tour on the link above. Looks like Lauren stopped blogging a few years ago.
Instagram Inspiration
Sincerely Sara D has some great projects and I enjoy following her on Instagram. She loves wallpaper too!
LBW Studio is fun to follow too, with her beautiful designs and eye candy projects.
Another one with great inspiration is Tallwood Country House, beautiful feed and so inspiring for tables.
Recipes
This Chicken Lombardy recipe caught my eye from Southern Living. I cook a lot of chicken so always looking for more recipes to make with it. This is a cheesy version of Chicken Marsala, sounds good to me, I love mushrooms!
Around the House
Here are some home goods I spotted recently from Target, World Market, Walmart, and other sources. Always good price points on these stores. I love that cane front dresser, it’s a look alike for some pricier versions I’ve seen. I bought both of those caned wicker glass vases from Michaels that are pictured. They were both on sale and different sizes so I plan to use them in my spring decor. Of course, I love that caning! Affiliate links used below:
If you’re in the mood for spring and getting ready for outdoor projects, I’ve seen lots of bloggers share this conversation set from Better Homes and Gardens at Walmart. It’s a really pretty set and the price can’t be beat for this 5 piece set, including 3 covers. It’s a lovely set for the money. I’ve heard it sells out often.
My sister is going to need a lot of outdoor furniture for their huge porches in the back of their house, so I told her about this one. They will have to furnish it as they can after they move in that gorgeous lake house.
This Hawthorne Park set is a little less expensive and nice as well for a lower price point.
This Sandcrest 4 piece dining set is a good buy as well. Looks very comfy and I’ve heard good things about the BHG brand.
What We’re Watching/Reading
I’ve been with my sister all week and we’ve been watching loads of HGTV shows. We’ve both been fans for many years and still enjoy the decorating and renovating shows. I’ve already mentioned The Established Home as a new favorite, but I’m still a fan of Ben and Erin on Home Town too. Excited that they have a new season out. We watched several of the HGTV shows this week, from beach house hunting to renovating shows.
Mark and I watched the new Jack Reacher series that came out recently on Amazon (binged in just a couple of days). The language is strong be aware, but it was a really good storyline and packed with lots of action. This new actor is the perfect Reacher (unlike Tom Cruise in the old Jack Reacher movies). I have read lots of Jack Reacher books over the years by Lee Childs and love the character and this actor captures him perfectly. The actor playing Reacher is pretty cute too!
That’s all for this week. Thank you as always for stopping by and visiting with me. You are all my friends even though you don’t live near me!
Thanks for the Reacher review. I will definitely look into the series.
