There’s nothing more festive than a decorated for Christmas front porch and doorway. I love to add color and cheer on our front porch to welcome in guests. It’s the perfect spot for some traditional Christmas color of red and green.
Also, I’m joining a great group of ladies in a Christmas blog hop so please take a look at all the links below. These are all super talented bloggers so you’ll get so much inspiration from them this whole week.
I’m excited again this year to be partnering again with Lynch Creek Farm with a giveaway of a beautiful wreath, so stay tuned for that and sign up to win below! I was gifted my beautiful wreath and garland.
This year, I’m using some of the same elements I always use. Garland on the railings are easy to attach with zip ties. This multi-hued green garland is from Tree Classics, who I worked with in the past. It works great outside and I love to add bows. This one is prelit with batteries, but I don’t always use the lights.
Here’s a great look at that beautiful real mixed garland from Lynch Creek Farm. It is gorgeous framing our front door. My topiaries are making it fine so far and I’ve added bows on them. I made the bows using ribbon from At Home stores. The rug is also from At Home and I love it out here. Those lanterns are from Tractor Supply Co. a couple years ago.
Red bows are a good mix with the garland to add a pop of color.
The candy cane striped ribbon is a nice addition too. Making bows is very easy. I got a lesson years ago at a local Christmas store and have made my own bows ever since.
In fact, I did a video while I made these so you can see how I did it! Check it out here:
This rug from At Home is definitely getting me in the Holiday mood. Merry & Bright. Bring it on!
I’m hoping I can keep my topiaries alive until spring. They sure are pretty.
Mark’s boyhood sled makes an appearance on the porch once again. Just the right touch out here for a nostalgic Christmas greeting. I found those old ice skates at an antique store and I love them out here too.
The hanging of the garland and wreath on the front door just makes me get in the Christmas spirit. One of you will be winning a wreath just like this one, so stay tuned below. I love this one with a mix of magnolia leaves and pinecones.
It smells so good too.
The garland around the door is just the right touch as well. Lynch Creek really has the best garland ever. This is the longest one. I bought those large red Christmas balls at Old Tyme Pottery this year and love hanging them from the ceiling. Oh, notice we got a new lantern out here too. We had another one, but didn’t love it so Mark found this one instead.
That wreath though, is the crowning touch to the front door. We are really going to enjoy this entryway and it’s definitely helping me to get in the Holiday spirit. We all need as much cheer as we can get this year. It’s been a rough year, but I’ve got faith that things will improve with time. God still has everything under control. I tell myself this every day.
Merry Christmas my friends, let’s get ready to celebrate the month of December.

Their wreaths outdoors will last 6-8 weeks in the Northern climate and 4-6 weeks in the Southern climate. You won’t find a better looking wreath, that is for sure!

Your porch looks so festive and inviting. Love all the beautiful details.
The Lynch Creek Farms wreaths are gorgeous — and I especially like the Pacific Pepperberry — I can see why it is sold out!

Porch looks lovely! I always decorate my porch and put a candle in each window of our 2 story house. I rely on faux garlands – was lucky to get a good deal on some really plush and full ones after Christmas one year.

The porch looks beautiful, Rhoda. I love the wreath and your knack for making the simplest things, like a sled and a pair of skates, look elegant.
Beth says
Rhoda, I love the whole effect of your entrance way. The 2 hanging red ornaments tie it all together. I looked at the wreath web site and would choose the Olympic Snow because it goes with my all white frosted theme outside my house, but your choice of Majestic Magnolia would complement my red inside decor. Thanks for your nice offer, the more Christmas , the better.

I love anything magnolia so your wreath would probably be my first pick but the Lab Love is a close second, love my doggy!

Rhoda, your porch is beautiful. It’s just the right mix of old fashion Christmas (sled & skates) and class (wreath/garland/topiaries). Thank you for offering the chance to win one of those beautiful wreath’s like yours! My goodness, how would you ever pick which wreath to order? I decided I liked the Royal Berries the best because it’s so different than the standard “Christmas wreath” and it would look lovely going into the New Year. I’ve liked their Instagram page for an extra entry.
Happy Holidays!
