If you are a fan of Martha Stewart, you will want to listen up to this one.  Martha has a new line of craft supplies out at Michael’s and I had the opportunity to try out:  Martha Stewart Decorative Paint Line by Plaid!

She has some rockin’ products in this line and my niece, Lauren, and I got our craft on while she was visiting recently.  We had the most awesome girl time together.

Sigh. I can’t hold back my comment anymore. Ever since you’ve become a full-time blogger, your site is more and more about promotions and sponsorships, instead of your “adventures in decorating, thrifting, cooking and gardening.” I understand that a lot has changed for you recently, but your blog has gone from one of my favorites to one that I only skim and hardly read anymore.

Mrs. G, I’m sorry you feel that way. Yes, I am a fulltime blogger & that means I do need to earn a living & promotions and giveaways are part of that. I have still continued to share every single trip, project, DIY decorating, recipes, and everything that is going on in my life at the moment. There just happens to be additional posts that I put out there in addition to all that I’m doing at the moment that are sometimes promotional, but are great things to share too. I have no problem trying out products and sharing them with all of you too. That is part of the blog world. Yes, my life has changed. It’s not doing constant projects and reveals, but I’m still sharing hopefully lots of inspiration and ideas too along the way that is useful to a lot of readers. I can’t please everyone all the time and yes, I do need to earn a paycheck. This is the way I have chosen to do that.

Very cool. I don’t have a lot of time for crafting, but little things like this are great personal touches to home decor. Especially when you have kids!

I have been wanting to try some of her craft products. Thanks for checking it out first. I love the little pots you and Lauren created.

    Rhoda,

When you said you and Lauren got your craft on while she was visiting, I thought you meant Martha visited! 🙂
I love her products and what you and your niece created.
Your blog is still one of my favorites!

    Your Friend,
    Deborah

Hi Rhoda – Let the naysayers voice their opinions but know that you have a great blog that I read and enjoy every day. If this is the way you earn your living I say good for you! Keep up the great work and I’ll keep reading 😉

Rhoda! Thousands of readers can’t be wrong, and your many sponsors have it right! Mrs. G is only one negative reader (but even she still stops by, is still curious!?!) … I’m a new visitor, but I’ll be back!
