(Giveaway is Closed)
Last month at the International Home & Housewares Show, the Homer Laughlin China Company launched several new products for its 2010 lineup. A nearly 135-year old company, Homer Laughlin takes such pride that its products are Made in the USA, employing more than 850 people in Newell, WV.
I love supporting Made in the USA companies, so I am happy to do a giveaway for this old and established company. I have admired Homer Laughlin china patterns in the antique malls for years and love how it wears and wears. I own a few pieces myself.
They sent me 2 items to use and enjoy for myself and they are giving away one of EACH of these today to 2 of my readers.
First up is this beautiful 75th anniversary piece for 2010, a set of prep or mixing bowl in a vibrant and vivid limited availability color of Marigold. I received my set and it will be a pleasure to use this in my kitchen.
Next, is a the latest place setting of Fiesta dinnerware in the lovely color of Paprika, a deep burnt orange and the winner will receive a one piece place setting.
I’d like to know if you own any Fiesta dinnerware? It’s highly collectible and this company has been around a long time, so chances are you have something in your collection by Homer Laughlin China Company.
Just leave a comment and I’ll draw 2 winners, one for the prep bowl set and one for the place setting.

I’m 33 yrs old & have been collecting Fiesta since I was 15 yrs old. It was also one of the only items I registered for when we got married. I have my grandmother’s formal china boxed up for safety( I have a 6yrd old daughter). The Fiesta is our daily dishes, durable & cheerful colors!! I love it!
Alex Gibson says
I love my fiesta dishes. My hubby and I registered for Fiesta dinnerware rather than china because we both just love it. My mom even gave me the water glasses because, and I quote, “I know you don’t need glasses, but I just loved these and wanted to drink out of them when I visit.” Ha, gotta love mom!

My husband indulges my current obsession.. I LOVE fiesta ware and have purchased specific pieces (not the box sets) so that we would actually use the pieces we got. I have bought some vintage pieces but mostly have the current colors – I LOVE LOVE LOVE fiesta ware and am dying to take a trip to the factory. We have one rule in our house – your place setting CAN NOT match – fiesta ware is colorful for a reason – you should enjoy the rainbow on your table!!

I don’t have any Fiestaware – but I have a girlfriend who does. Her husband recently lost not one, but two jobs… and they have two youngsters under 3. Needless to say, receiving a surprise like this would be a huge emotional boost for them!

Hello Rhoda,
I love the colors! I have some Fiesta dinnerware and absolutely love it. When I go thrifting, I try to find more but lately have not been lucky to find any at a reasonable price. As for mixing bowls, I never seem to have enough!

I bought my first Fiestaware at my neighbor’s garage sale and have been buying it ever since. I love going to the factory and seeing what kinds of bargains I can find there!
Teri White says
My grandmother had a complete set of Fiesta ware that my father coveted. He always thought he’d inherit it but one day showed up at her garage sale to see she had sold it all for a very tiny amount. I think she broke his heart that day. I don’t own any Fiesta ware but would love to just because he loved it.

I have collected vintage Fiesta since 1980 when I got out of college. I started with one plate that I bought at a yard sale for $1. I now have so many pieces I really should count and see how many I have! I do have a few pieces of “new” Fiesta, all bought at thrift stores. I also collect a few other Homer Laughlin patterns. Would love to win ’cause a girl can never have too many dishes!
