Gone to the Beach and Giveaways!

It’s beach time once again! Last year we went here and had a great time, so we’re going back to the same place to soak up some rays and have some relaxation in the white sugary sands of Florida. The chocolate chip cookies are baked and ready to go….gotta have some good snacks.
These books are going with me…they should keep me busy for a few days.

This is what we’ll see every a.m. when we rise and look outside. Can’t wait for an early a.m. walk.
Signs from Cottage & Bungalow.com
And this is exactly what I’m going to do every day next week…..Seas the Day, I love it!

Vintage set of prints are up for the giveaway…and all the things below.

So, while I’m gone, we are signing up for a BIG giveaway and when I return, I’ll randomly draw 5 names to win some prizes. I’m cleaning out my stash closet, so take a look and see if you see something you like and sign up on this post. There will be 5 winners and I’ll draw randomly. Winner #1 will get to choose 3 things and the other 4 will get to choose 2 items each, in the order that I draw the names. Get ready to win! I think there is something for everyone’s taste here.

This is a great time for all of you lurkers to come out and play! I’ll be back in one week and will announce the winner on Monday, the 26th! Be sure and send all your friends over too. If you don’t have a blog, please leave me your email address in the comments so I can get in touch with you.

Have a great week. I’ll miss you all, but will find plenty to keep me busy at the beach. I’m taking a much needed break from blogging and will come back refreshed and ready to go with some new inspiration!

    Rhoda –
I love to read about your yard sale finds each weekend. Even though I cannot get to as many sales as I would like with little ones, I always know I can get my yard sale excitement from your blog. Thanks and have fun at the beach!

You made some great yardsale finds! I really need to get caught up around here so I can get out and do some yardsaling! Just not enough hours in a day.
Hope you are having a wonderful time on your vacation – sitting on the beach (in the shade, of course) and reading the day away sounds just wonderful!
Look forward to reading all about it when you return.

    Rhoda,
I have been reading your blog for several months now and I look forward to it daily. Great blogs such as yours helped to inspire me to start my own, so thank you for that!
I am really new to the blogging world and don’t know much about the giveaways, but your gifts are beautiful.
Have a wonderful time at the beach.

Hope your days are sun filled and blissful. Your “give aways” are definitely treasure chest finds! Your announcement of a Florida escape reminds of the lovely time my husband and I had in St. Augustine, even in February!, as we began preparations for our son’s upcoming fall wedding. Relax and enjoy!

    Rhoda,
A comment on your teak furniture steal… I have an idential set as well as a bigger set wtih 8 chairs.
However having lived in Singapore where we purchased all of our teak, the experts there advise no poly, but instead oil yearly or more, with teak oil.
I brought teak oil back with me to the US to use; however I have sourced it on line and it can be found.
Once or if you use poly it changes the nature of the teak and I have found better to use the teak oil to refurbish. The power washing does work well for cleaning it before applying.
I hope you enjoy the teak set but it is labour intensive to keep the color nice. But you lucked out on a great bargain.
    Enjoy the sun and sand.

    Dear Rhoda,

What a perfect time of the year to “Beach It.” Enjoy it my dear. I wish I were there. We are in Spring here in North Pole, Alaska. Beautiful, sunny days. 55-65 degrees during the day.

I see a few things I’d love. You have made me want to re-do a few rooms (It just gets really tight on a missionary budget.) The Lord knows what I need. He also knows my wants and desires. So, dear Rhoda, count me in on the giveaways.

    Love,
    Lynn
