How about a campaign to change Halloween to Candy Corn Day?

Or just Candy Day?

What do you think?

Is anyone else addicted to candy corn?

I sorta am. Just this time of year.

Totally and completely love the stuff.  Even though it’s nothing but sugar.  It’s tasty sugar. 🙂 So, I’m wishing you a Happy Candy Corn Day!  We’ll be giving out plenty of candy at our house.

Go, eat your fill of this delectable yellow, orange, and white delight.

That’s sort of what it feels like, doesn’t it? What a pretty candy corn dish! I’ve got my kisses in a nice glass jar- but they are quickly disappearing!

I AM!!! I have gone through TWO bags all.by.myself. I am resisting buying another…..but you know what? The candy corn will be on sale in just TWO days….and I may not be able to find any the rest of the year! So I MAY really actually NEED to stock up on a couple of bags! You know….JUST.IN.CASE.

I have to buy small bags because I’ll eat it until I make myself sick! And let’s not talk about the candy we hand out. Thankfully we live in a neighborhood that only gets a couple of kids now… that means I don’t have to buy those jumbo bags of goodies anymore (too tempting).

    🙂

Love candy corn by itself – but better with salted peanuts. I try to limit myself to one package per Halloween – the pounds come on easy enough without adding the candy/peanut contribution.

Rhoda, I do eat a good bit of it this time of year, too. No trick or treaters at our house so it is all mine!

If having already gone through 3 bags all by myself (because I hid it from my hubby) means I am a candy corn addict…I MAY need intervention! Nah!

Love that candy corn with peanuts, too. It tastes like a PayDay candy bar. We never have trick or treaters in our neighborhood anymore, so we wait till after Halloween and buy half-price to enjoy it ourselves!

What am I thinking? I haven’t gotten any yet! Do you think it will go 50% off on the 1st…hahah. (I’m getting ready to snitch the Snickers from my kids bags. :))

Oh, honey. We are kindred spirits. I finally had to stop buying bags of Brach’s. I was gaining weight!! (By the way, Brach’s is the only kind I really like. I’m picky about my brightly-colored sugar!)

    Happy Candy Day!

I find the candy corn a bit too sweet on its own, but I have to have some with salted peanuts. It reminds me of my childhood. We called the combo “chicken feed”. I few times, my mom made popcorn balls and added chicken feed to the mix. Yum! I was looking for the smallest possible bag, to prevent overindulgence, and found some mixed with chocolate covered kernels. Best chicken feed ever!

I’m totally addicted, but love the candy corn mixed with the little pumpkins. I have to keep them in a hard-to-get-to place in my kitchen so there are actually some to munch when I get a serious need for an immediate sugar infusion! Happy Halloween!

I can’t quite handle candy corn all by itself, but I love it mixed with peanuts. The saltiness of the peanuts cuts the sweetness of the candy corn. In fact, I’m sitting here eating it right now 🙂

    Rhoda:
I got such a chuckle from your comments (and others!) about candy corn addiction. Thought I was the only one. LOL. Recently, I received an email from a former secretary who said she thinks of me every year when she sees the candy corn! Soooo glad its only available once a year…actually my addiction lies with the little candy corn pumpkins!

I LOVE Candy Corn! Bought my final bag of the season at Target today…I like it plain – by itself – and mixed with peanuts 🙂
