Happy Thanksgiving 2011

Hi, my friends!

I want to take a moment to say Thank YOU to all of you out there who faithfully stop by and read this blog, from a reader, from email, or just popping in to visit when you can.  I’m thankful for YOU!

It truly means the world to me that y’all take time out of your busy lives to spend time with me.  I’m honored and grateful for all the friendships I’ve made through blogging and I feel like I have thousands of friends out there across the country and even the world.

I feel extra thankful this year, for all that I’ve been through.  Thankful for my family, my sweet friends, and for God’s gracious blessings on my life.  I’m so happy to be where I am right now, with my sweet parents, enjoying life with them.

(Lauren and her hubby will be here, along with their new puppy, Stickers.  I’m in LOVE with Stickers).

This year, I savor the sweetness of this special holiday and I’m going to enjoy every minute from now until Christmas.  Life is precious and I don’t want to rush any of it. Today, I’ll be with my extended family at my cousin Brenda’s house in Duluth.  Her family will be there too and we will laugh, eat a lot and love spending time together.

I wish for each of you peace and happiness with your families too.  Enjoy this day of Thanks, eat some great food, and be well.

Happy, Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours!

I’m a little behind on reading the blogs. Just read your’s about the tomato gravy. I was born and raised in Florida and we ate it all the time..Love it. I love to get cubed steaks, flour and fry in a little shortening. Take them out on paper towels to drain. Then add the flour and get it browned and add the tomatoes and a little milk to get the gravy to the consistency that you like and add salt and pepper to taste. Add the steaks back in turning them over. Turn on low and simmer for about 10 minutes. This is so yummy with mash potatoes. Just cover your potatoes with the gravy. Oh my! So good will make you slap your pappy!
