    Hi Rhonda
Let me begin by saying how much I LOVE your blog. Especially the dressing over 50! You look fabulous and I love your style. I truly look forward to it everyday. With that said I have a question about the Haven conference. I am in the process of purchasing an online business (craft supplies) and am hoping to add a blog to it. Would the Haven conference be something that I could attend? Is it only for bloggers with no businesses attached? Again I would be totally new to blogging, but am so interested in starting. In your honest opinion should it be something I wait a year or so to attend? Also do people attend alone? Of course I wouldn’t know anyone and probably would feel everyone knows each other? (yes Im showing my insecurities already!) I feel like your a “friend” so I feel comfortable asking you…..and yes, this is the first time I have ever asked a question on a log! A true newbie. Thanks for your time. Best, Lee

Hi, Lee, Haven is open to anyone who wants to learn about blogging or the DIY/home niche as well, since we have classes on both. You are more than welcome to join us as a newbie, we always have lots of new bloggers and those who want to start a blog or online business. It may be a little overwhelming to you, but I think you would enjoy it and learn a lot. There are many who come alone. If you do come, let me know and I can introduce you around to some other bloggers. There are many younger bloggers, but also many are older and in their 40’s and 50s (like me!). So, if you want to come, don’t let fear stop you!

      Hello,
My lifestyle (DIY and Super Quick Recipes) blog is one month old today. I am in my 50s and was horrified to jump in to the deep water. I’d be honored to stay connected so that we may encourage each other. I don’t really do crafts….so I am looking for crafters to feature. You can check out what a newbie looks like at http://thechelseaprojectblog.wordpress.com
drop me a note at email –
We will succeed if we work together and stick together.
      Best regards,
      Susie

Hi, Susie, welcome to blogging! I see you are in Atlanta too, so definitely sign up for the Haven Conference. You’ll love meeting a lot of new folks as you get started in blogging.

Please clarify the cost for me. Does the $299.00 cover the conference and hotel accomodations? I’ve been waiting on the dates for the conference. This will be my first time. Feeling excited.

Hi, Marsha, the $299 is for the conference only. Hotel rooms will be booked directly through the hotel at a discount rate for Haven. We will have a link up on the website for the hotel too. Welcome!

I am so excited! I registered to attend my first Haven Conference!!
Last year’s Instagram feed was filled with fun from your event and
I knew that Haven would be the perfect first large conference for me! (I did a wonderful one-day SITS Girls conf last year).

I’m a fan of you and your blog and hope to meet you.

Hi, Dana, so excited you are coming to Haven this year. Please come find me and say hello! It gets a little overwhelming trying to meet & talk to all of you, so you’ll see me running around like crazy, but do say hello.

Hi Rhoda, I see the above comments about not yet having a blog and wanting to attend Haven. I, too am in that position. Tried to register and can’t seem to register without a blog URL. Can you help. Can I still attend without a blog already in existence. I have a JBeth Designs Facebook Page but won’t accept that.
