So the slideshow wasn’t working so great, so I loaded up the pics so you can see them all in a row!

Thanks to all 160+ of you for linking up your Fall porches, front doors and all over welcoming autumn touches around your home. It was fun to see some great and innovative representations of what this season means to you. I’m not a scarecrows and haybales kind of Fall decorator, but if you are, embrace it and enjoy! Popping over to your homes gave me a creative shot of inspiration for the season, so thank you!

Today, I’m highlighting a few of my faves, so I hope you enjoy too. From pumpkin displays, to wreaths, natural materials, front porch décor, there was something for every taste out there. Thanks for sharing and I’m happy to share all of you all over again.

Rhonda, I love you blog and visit often. In fact, you and four others are listed under my “favorites”. I read other blogs as time allows but you are in my top five. Here’s my concern. My computer slows to a snails pace on your site and even locks up every so often. Today I tried out your new slide show and it would take quite awhile for each new picture to show up. I finally gave up at # 7. I have a new computer and and I don’t have this problem on any other site or blog I visit. Any suggestions? Patty

HI, Patty, I don’t know my my whole site would load so slowly for you. I think these slideshows do need some work to help them click smoothly, so I probably won’t do it like this again. Thank you for reading, I appreciate it!

I would agree with the previous person! I LOVE your site and the same thing happened to me, too slow and froze up several times!

    Hey Rhoda,

I hate to say it but the slide show on my computer was a fail. The slides hang up and do not progress without refreshing, and I was continually moving to the bottom of my page to hit the “next” button and this slowed things as well. If the button was on the side of the slides it might work easier for your viewers. Keep working on this as I do like the concept…. Jody

Love looking at the different front porch ideas but the slide show needs help. It has to re-load every time you click on the ‘next’ button.

I’m new to your blog and loving it so far! But I must admit, I’m not a fan of the slideshow as it is. The first image was too tall and I had to scroll just to see the whole thing. And when clicking to the next image, it reloads the whole page and kicks back to the top. If possible, I think making the images fit inside a fixed space and flipping through pictures without refreshing the whole page would really improve the experience. The slideshow is a great step in the right direction though – nice improvement over scrolling through each individual picture!

    Hi Rhoda,

Great features. Thank you so much for sharing. . I hung in there to view all 21 images as they provided such great inspiration. However I did encounter some of the same issues as Patty. In addition whenever I hit the “next” button it would automatically go to the top of your page and I would have to scroll down to view the next image. I have super fast wifi and no computer issues that I know of. It is always so much fun to see new tools, but my preference would be just to have a long post of pictures in order to avoid the slideshow hiccups. Have a happy fall day!

HI, ladies! With the slideshow not being that smooth, I switched it back to all in a column. Enjoy!

Love all the inspiration for the Fall – especially the Boo y’all box. That would be super cute on my front porch. Hate I missed the party though my decorations are nowhere near as delightful as these. Thanks for compiling.

Love all the fall inspiration! Just watching TV and your niece’s advertisement came on. Live in Baton Rouge so I recognized her. Fun to see someone I sorta know. Prayers as they expect their baby.

Love all of your choices of favorites. So many pretty Autumn wreaths.

I do confess to having fondness for scarecrows. Maybe you just haven’t met the right one yet. hahaha

    Rhoda,
I love the new look! I am seeing this late, so you have already stopped the slide show. I am not sure if your theme is using a plug in, but I have one on my site and it works fine. If you need the name, let me know.
Also, some people have issues with blogs on certain browsers. If someone views my blog on FireFox, there are a couple of things that look wonky, but on all other browsers, everything looks fine. Weird.
    Enjoy your new ‘home’. 🙂
